There are lots of new things up in the new products section this week... I have selected two for you to see.
First of the long awaited Tim Holtz Alterations dies are here... and boy are they gorgeous! the details on them are amazing, but i expect nothing less really...
This film one is one that is going to end up in my collection for sure!!!
Next up is new October Afternoon, one of my fav lines...you are able to mix and match all the paperlines which always makes it more difficult to chose which ones to buy...
The sticker sets are the ones that i always wait for the most as they are normally so cute and gorgeous it is hard to chose...
I love the banner sticker on this one which i used on my layout here. I loved the clouds, which before i stuck down i drew around for a template for future use. Well i love it all ( and how cute is that dog!)
I have each sticker set that October Afternoon do...they are pretty generic which i love as i use them on other pages and dont have to worry to much about them matching the line that i am using...that round one with the telephone!!! beyond cute!
Enough said i think! so gorgeous and they are not to expensive either!

Here is a page i did mixing the lines together!

I think i have called every piece of new pattern paper that came out at CHA gorgeous! it has been hard to pick the ones that i loved the most so i am going to say all of them! and October Afternoon is no exception...
I used a combination of both lines for this page...i find that you can mix and match their papers very easily which is good!
I also used both lots of element stickers for this page as well! again they mixed well! doesnt help when you are trying to decide which ones to buy huh!!!! lol

Mini Book - Basic Grey - Green at Heart
I've had lots of fun this past week making my latest mini book. We went away over Easter and I wanted to make a decent sized mini book to remember the week by. I've started so many mini books in the past and have just never finished them. I've discovered that for me to make a mini book in a short time with ease and actually finish, the key is to select matching papers and embellishments and keep a style throughout the whole book.
So I've used a large amount of the papers from the Basic Grey range - Green at Heart. Really fun and colourful papers to use.
I've also added some 12x12 kraft cardstock too. All my pages are 12x12 and cut in half and stuck back to back, so the pages feel quite sturdy.
I've teamed these papers up with matching 'Bloomers', I love these layered flowers.
and also the chipboard stickers. The book has been decorated through out using these embellishments.
The only other items I've added to this book are a selection of American Crafts Thickers and some mini alpha stickers too.
Throughout the book I have used white paint. My favourite paints to use are the paint dabbers. I have to confess to not dabbing with them, but I remove the top and use a paint brush. I love the colours they offer and the paint has such a good thickness to it.
I'm really pleased with my book and it was such a pleasure to make.

My Minds Eye - Be Loved
I cut a strip from My Minds Eye Be Loved - Smitten Stripes paper and punched the edge with the Martha Stewart simple scallop border punch. I stuck the loopy border from the accessory sheet on to the edge of the stripes paper. I drew round the edges with a brown pen to give some definition.
I then stuck the scallop border from the accessory sheet behind the loopy border
I cut a thin strip from the My Minds Eye Be Loved - Smitten Stripes paper and again punched the edge with the Martha Stewart simple scallop border punch. I stuck both of these strips to my 12x12 white bazzill card.
Then I added some shapes from the accessory sheet
I mounted my photo on a rectangle of My Minds Eye Be Loved - Smitten Stripes paper, I used the reverse side. I then mounted this onto the reverse side of My Minds Eye Be Loved - Fond Flowers paper, I punched the edges of the rectangle with Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Corner Punch - String Lace Lattice punch and the Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Corner Punch - String Lace Lattice punch
I cut some thin strips of My Minds Eye Be Loved - Smitten Stripes paper and used these strips as corner mounts
I added some more shapes from the accessory sheet
And to finish off my LO I added some buttons and my title

Your my number one!
So the new Jillibean Soup is beyond gorgeous! ( in my opinion) full of bright colours and what i think are fantastic names...i mean come on who thinks to call a line of paper 'Old world cabbage stew'!!! seriously fun!
SO i grabbed some of this line and used two of my most fav photos to use with it... Yes that is my son wiggling his backside at the camera...please tell me my son is not alone with doing this???
I used some sheer frames from Maya Road to ground my title...using these thickers.Which i am adoring at the moment!!!
I used this gorgeous punch from EK success to add a white trim along the edge to make a brighter barrier between the pattern paper. And of course no page of mine would be my page without the little gems...
You can find the new JilliBean Soup papers here.

It is oh so pretty - Dear Lizzy American Crafts
When i saw the American Crafts Dear Lizzy line i fell in love! I couldnt get enough of it...and i have been looking at all the galleries over the last few months...drooling and waiting for it very patiently to come into Papermaze..what i mean to say is i have not asked Vanessa everytime i went in when it was going to be here...just every other time...
But it is here and it is just as every bit as pretty as i thought it was going to be...how can you not like this...
You cannot see it in this picture but most of the bits are covered in glitter...soooo cute!
Anyway so it turned up and i grabbed all of it!!! lol bought it home and then played with it right away...i came up with this...
I cut out the banner from this paper...
Here are some close ups...
I used these thickers- Laz white glitter thickers
I used this embossing folder to add texture to the clouds...Divine swirl and some small plastic beads that i had sitting around my desk for ages!!!
I also have the abode line sitting on my desk waiting for me to play with.. you can find all the new American Crafts here...be back soon!!!!

One Theme, Two Styles
A few weeks ago I blogged a LO using the October Afternoon Report Card collection. In going through the leftover scraps, I realised that with the double-sided papers, you could achieve two very different looks from the one theme, and I decided to make a couple of cards showing this.
The first follows the school theme, I made a 'You've Passed' card using paper and Bazzill scraps with the Report Card stickers, plus an MME journaling card:
I then chose some completely different scraps and came up with this very feminine card:
The accent flowers are again stickers from the Report Card sheet, I added coordinating brads and used mini alpha stamps for the greeting.
So, two different styles from one themed collection - one of the reasons why I love October Afternoon!

Egg Hunt answers...
Thank you to everyone who entered our Easter Egg hunt - I hope you all enjoyed it and had a bit of fun searching for the eggs! We had lots of entries, but first, the answers...
Day 1 - Sandra Bullock recently won an Oscar.
Day 2 - An Asteroidea is more commonly known as a starfish.
Day 3 - The picture was of red peppers.
Day 4 - Glee takes place at William McKinley High School.
Day 5 - Mr Bumble was the parish Beadle (in Oliver Twist).
Day 6 - Bobby Pickett and the Crypt-kickers had a hit with the Monster Mash.
Day 7 - The volcanic rock of solidified frothy lava is pumice stone.
Well done to everyone who worked them out correctly (there were a lot of you!) but there can only be one winner. I took all the names down to the village hall, where we're busy rehearsing for our latest production, and the director picked a name out of the hat......and the winner is......
....Jean Causton!!
Congratulations Jean, drop us an email with your address and we'll pop your goodies in the post to you :)

All about me...
I have always wanted to start an all about me album. One of the things i have never got round to doing. But some recent personal events have put this foremost in my mind again so yesterday i started.
I wanted the first page to be about why i scrapbook and then start from there...so i grabbed some of the new Jelly Bean Soup called Egg Drop soup
This line is sooooooooooo pretty and perfect to match the photo i wanted to use for the page.
I kept the page fairly simple...used these thickers for the title..which by the way are one of the most gorgeous thickers that i have ever used!!!! swoon!
I cut out this pattern paper as i loved the umberella shapes...
And i couldnt resist cutting out one of these little guys to put on the page as well.
Tooooo cute!!!
