Hello! I have a new page for you today.
I'm trying something new inspired by someone in my community.
It's a page with sliding elements. It's the first time I'm trying this and it worked so well.
It's worked so well and I LOVE IT!!
And if you'd like to see this page coming together and see how I made this page more in depth, there's a video here.
We were in Florida on this day, in the Silver Springs State Park.
We had a trip on clear Kayaks in the Springs and it was amazing. I wanted to capture it all on this page, in my HUGE journal that I recently made.
To make the Manatee embellishments I just googled and printed. Cut them out and then went over in pencil to make them look more handmade. I love how they came out.
I wanted to make them move up and down on the page, so I stuck them on a strip of the paper and made some incisions in my paper that I stuck in my journal and threaded it through. Now I can move it up and down.
I wanted to make another sliding page on the other side, but this time to make more space to include extra photos and journaling.
So I created my regular page and then cut a strip of extra paper and slid it behind my photo. I added journaling to this here.
Then as you pull the strip up, there's extra photos underneath.
And I used another of the cute handmade manatees to the top : )
I also used the little mini alpha stickers here for my titles.
The papers are so much fun, I was also able to cut out lots of bits and pieces to make my own embellishments too.
I love how this page turned out and I had so much fun making it.
I hope you feel inspired today. I encourage you to give this ago.
Have fun.
Lisa xx
