Hi and welcome to another week!!!. This week we are going to concentrate on gaining inspiration from objects around us, or something that i have found on the internet. I spend far too much time looking round different websites finding new colour combinations, patterns or templates.
So this week i have picked 5 things from my very large file of inspiration to share with you and see what you can take from the most normal things!
Today the inspiration is from a Tesco carrier bag of all things!!! lol.
The thing i loved about this was the flowers and they are the same types as one of my favourite punches an EK Success Retro Flower punch. SO that is what i decided to take inspiration wise from the bag. I also chose flower pattern paper to go along with the theme.
I decided to make a pillow box.
I used this template which i found on the internet. I drew it out onto white card and cut round. I then covered it with my chosen pattern paper and folded it up and stuck it all together.
Then i decorated the outside. I cut out a strip of pattern paper , which is long enough to go all the way round the whole pouch.
I then punched out small circles in a co ordinating colour and then cut in half.
I then adhered them to the edge so just a bit is sticking up over the edge.
I then adhered it all the way round.
And then add white ribbon and tied with a bow.
Now for the flowers. I punched out 2 of the EK success flowers and a small circle and put them together. Next i tied some floss through the buttons and slid a pin through it.
I then wanted a tag to write my message on. I tied one to the white ribbon. And decorated it as seen in the photo below.
I added a strip of happy birthdays to the edge.
But i didnt stop there, i also did a card using the same formula as the box.

*edited to add if you leave a comment on any of the posts this week, you go into a draw to receive all the pattern papers and the templates from all the projects this week, and then at the end there is going to be a competition.
Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow as i will have another piece of inspiration for you.
