Boy toys...

The other day i sat down to make a card an decided to do something a bit different, and i thought i would show you.

I have had this felt sitting on my desk for a while and was not sure what to do with it, so i challenged myself to use it.

I decided to make it the main focus of the card. First off i cut it out to use it as just the background, but then i came upon the idea of using it as a pocket.

Now the most sensible thing to do would be to cut the felt out in one long strip, which i would have done if i had, had this idea before cutting up the felt lol!!!!! So for my card i had to stick the two felt parts together.

I then used this paper...

I cut out a few of the little airplanes and the cars. I double backed them, so the same image is on the front and the back.. I then attached them to some string.

Which i then attached to a tag, made out of kraft cardstock, which i added this paper onto it...

and the tag ends up looking like this...

I then inserted the tag into the felt pocket...

I then printed out my birthday message onto white card and added it to the front of the felt card... THis is the final card...

Just because i am one of those people that have to do just one more thing. I cut out a small car from the pattern paper and stuck it onto the front of the envelope.. ( this photo is awful i know, my spare camera i think has finally given up the ghost)

I hope you enjoyed this little card.
