Day one - sketches.

Welcome to another week with me on the blog. At the beginning of me doing these weeks, I did a card sketch week, so I thought it was about time I did a scrapbooking sketch week.

This week I want you to welcome to the Papermaze blog a guest designer. Angela was kind enough to take on the challenge of doing 5 pages using the 5 sketches. ( Brave girl ) And I am sure you will agree they are gorgeous!

The aim of this weeks post is to show you how the same sketch and the same papers and embellishments can look so completely different.

When using a sketch you dont have to use all of it. Sometimes i use just the photo placement or sometimes it is just the placement of the pattern paper. Every body has different styles and adapting a sketch to suit your pages is vital, and something that took me ages to figure out.

Our sketch today is bought to you by the beautiful Zarah. You have to check out her sketch blog, she does the most amazing sketches, and even the sketches are eye candy on their own.

Let me introduce you to Zarah.....

"Hi! I'm Zarah - a 29 year old with too many ideas for one person, and too little time to see them all into life... so I sketch. Then, when some friends of mine kept asking me for sketches, I decided to put them on a blog. That sort of expanded and - here we are! I am having a lot f fun - hope you are too."

Zarah sent us this sketch to use for our sketch week...

For this sketch i chose the new line from Pink Paislee, called Pop Fashion for Ang and i to use.

The first take on this sketch is by me. Now there is one thing that i cannot do on my pages is slant things. Seriously i cannot do it, it just looks wrong. So for the photo part of the sketch i just kept to the three photo idea but kept them straight. I kept the layout of the pattern paper, as that was all layered and that is how i tend to do my pages. The other thing i didnt keep in the same place was the journaling, as i like mine to be under the title.

The frame around the photo at the top and the bottom is one of the stamps from this set from Basic Grey.

Okay here is Ang's take on the sketch.....

When i saw the paper i immediately thought 'grungy girl' so i knew the exact photo i wasted to use for the sketch and the papers.

As an add on to the pattern paper i added some green frames to put around the photos and then cut out an arrow cut out from card to make them stand out. The Making Memories journaling sheets matched the paper perfectly so i added that to the page. THen some doodling and a title cut out from the Cricut machine and the page was done.

Dont forget to pop back 2m and see the next sketch.
