Hi and welcome to the second day of my week on the blog...
Today i am going to show you how to make a decorated pad, which i use as my shopping list...looks nicer than a scrappy piece of paper.
Here is how to make them...
Step one:
I buy these little notepads from Tesco..they are really cheap!!! they measure ...across is 7cm by 21 cm.
You need to make the outside layer of the notepad...I cut mine out like this...
As you can see i inked all the edges... I then cut out a strip of co ordinating pattern paper...the size is 9cm by 16cm...before adhering down i added some scallops out of white card...
I then paid attention to the front of the pad...
I first used one of the Jelly Bean Soup journaling spots...
I inked around the edges...
I then used the flower dies from yesterdays post and cut out 4 of the biggest flower shapes from text paper...i added a brad to the centre and then with my fingers squashed the flowers up to give them some texture...
I then layered them on top of each other...
Dont add to the front of the pad yet... You then need some string...tie a knot in it and then add some beads to the end...
When adhering to the notepad front lay it across the front with the knot just hanging off the edge and then add the journaling spot...
Wrap it all the way round and secure to the back.
Here is the inside after i added the notepad...
And volia!!! a very quick and pretty notepad...i make these for little birthday presents...
Before finishing i added a few gems to the centre of the flowers...
Supplies used:
Tiny Dancer -my minds eye
Sparkle Brads
Journaling spots
thanks for popping and i will see you 2m xxx
Great idea - will make everyone in the supermarket envious of my shopping list hahaha
