Having recently seen on Pinterest several examples of mini album cards made using a Paige Evans cut file, I decided to have a go at making one myself using some photos from a family day at the beach when the children were younger.
Using the cut file, downloaded from the Silhouette Studio, I cut the base from some white cardstock and all the other pieces (plus a few extras) were cut from various patterned papers from the Bo Bunny collection. As the papers are double sided this gave me lots of options when it can to using them to decorate the album card.
The cardstock base was folded accordion style and covers cut from the 'Wonderful' paper were attached to the front and back. I added some words from one of the cut apart sheets of paper to the front cover. The words 'Beat the Heat' seemed appropriate for then and now!
The remaining panels cut from the patterned papers were used to decorate the inside of the album card and I also added tiny photos. I machine stitched round the edges of some of the panels and added sequins and stickers to embellish.
The album is very interactive with a tiny envelope which contains a few more photos, some removable mini tags tucked into a pocket and a fold out strip on the right side where more photos and some journalling are included.
A yellow ribbon with a tag attached was used to close the album card.
If given as a gift, the album card can be displayed upright like a conventional card and would make a great gift as a memento of a special event or day out
I really enjoyed making this mini album card and the Bo Bunny papers were perfect for the summery theme. I have one more project using this collection and will be back in a few weeks time to share this with you.
Enjoy the summer and don't forget to pop along to Papermaze for all your summer scrapping stash.
