August Papermaze Kit - Part 3

Lynn here today, I have already shared my four layouts using the August Papermaze Kit, but had paper and embellishments leftover, so with the addition of some white cardstock I created two more layouts.

Botanical Colour Wheel - I was inspired by an image on the menu, during a recent visit to Coolings Garden Centre, to create a layout based on a colour wheel using photos of the flowers.

I used the 'Colours of the Sun' paper and some extra white cardstock. I started by gutting the 'sun' - small circle from the paper, and set this aside for later. I trimmed about 1cm off two adjacent sides of the paper and mounted this over a sheet of white Cardstock.

My Inspiration

I created a colour wheel by cutting a 24cm circle from white cardstock. Then by dividing the circle into eight segments, I made a template for cutting the photos into the desired shapes, this measured about 7cm at the outer edge and was about 9cm tall. 

I arranged the photos with a gap of about 1cm between each image and about 0.5cm in from the circumference. I cut a small white circle 5cm wide and placed a slightly smaller blue circle cut from the paper I set aside earlier. I used a large white brad to join the circles together and to attach them to the background. 

I wrote the details of each plant on the 'spokes' of the wheel, underneath each picture.

I made my main title with Arctic Bazzill and a Sizzix Thinlits die set - Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Bold. My subtitle and date were cut from scraps of the photos and another Alphanumeric set - Label. 

Ready To Go Bike Riding Together - This layout shows my nephew and his daughter all dressed ready for bike riding. 

I used a sheet of smooth White Bazzill as the base for this layout. Placing three colours of Distress Oxide Ink (Fossilised Amber, Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed), onto a craft mat I spritzed them with water, to activate them. Then, I used a Vicki Boutin (Colour Study - Fresh) stencil dipped into the ink and like a stamp, I used the stencil to apply the pattern to the cardstock. 

I cut two of the images from the 'On The Agenda' paper, The camera and the file card.   I cut the lens from the camera, leaving an aperture for a photo to show through. I arranged my large photo and the two images on the layout.

Using a Memory Box die, I cut two bicycles using scraps of Bazzill cardstock from the kit and some gold and pink metallic card from my stash. I added the basket, hooter and a few gems to the girl's bike.

My long title was made up with various Doodlebug Designs alphabet stickers from my stash. I outlined all the letters with a black ink pen to help them stand out and to make them match the word 'together' which was a word sticker rather than separate letters.
