January Papermaze Kit - Part 2

Hello! It's Lynn here today, returning with more from the January kit. This is still available from the store or online and is full of patterned papers with coordinating Bazzill cardstock and embellishments. There is a clear stamp included this month. Here is my second pair of layouts.

Lovely - A photo of Liquorice when she first came to live with us, so about 10 weeks old here.

The first job for this layout was to paint the Dusty Attic chipboard trim, I used Black Soot Distress Paint. Once dry this was placed along the base of the Aqua Bazzill, about 5.5cm up from the bottom. 

With the floral display paper, I picked the flower clusters I wanted and cut them out. I placed the photo in the centre of the layout and arranged the flowers around it. Then I took a photo of the arrangement, to refer to later. With a soft pencil, I lightly marked around the flowers before removing photo and flowers, setting them aside for later.

I chose a Memento Dye Ink pad in Tuxedo Black and with the leaf stamp from the kit, I stamped around the outer edge of where the flowers will sit.

Then the photo was glued into place and flowers were shaped and rearranged. Some flowers were stuck to the base with glue and others were raised up with foam pads.

I punched a few leaf fronds from the Capers Bazzill scraps, and added these to the arrangement.

My title is a puffy word from Vicki Boutin's Story Teller collection Thickers set.

Finally, I used the heart shaped pearls from the kit to arrange over the page and the type print phrase stickers were scattered among the flowers.

Leanach Cottage - We saw this pretty little 18th century cottage when we visited the Culloden Battlefield during one of our road trips to Scotland.

With the sheet of Fig Swirl Bazzill, and a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Crackled THS039) I stencilled the centre of the page using Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I wanted to reflect the stonework of the cottage walls. Then I splattered some Crushed Olive and Forest Moss Distress Ink over the centre of the cardstock. Once dry I trimmed this piece to measure 27cm x 27cm.

I gutted the Worth the Hype paper to make a 2.5cm frame, and placed the Fig Swirl Bazzill centrally over the top.

With the scrap of Worth the Hype paper, I cut a circle with a 16cm diameter. I inked the edge with Forest Moss Distress Ink. This was stuck to the centre of the layout.

I trimmed the photos with a very narrow white border, and placed these onto the page.

My title was created with PFS The Best Day puffy alpha stickers. Then I added some journalling under the title, more information about the history of this cottage has been typed out and placed onto the back of the layout for future reference.

The page was embellished with items from the kit - Floral Bits & Pieces and the 49 & Market Vintage Bits Essentials - Sage.
