Summer Days - P13 Paper Products - Beyond the Sea Collection

Hello, Rebecca with you today sharing another layout with 'Beyond the Sea' from P13 Paper Products. I took part in a YouTube hop yesterday and couldn't resist using this beautiful collection again. I cannot emphasize enough how much I am enjoying working with it!

I had cut into Paper #01 for another layout (that I'm yet to share!) which left me with a scrap piece about 7x7 inches. As soon as I'd cut into this paper I had a plan for this scrap piece and I'm so happy with how well my idea translated onto paper!

I wanted to try and re-create the full sheet of paper from this small scrap, so I cut each individual slat of wood out, rounded off the ends and distressed the edges. I then poked holes at either end of each slat and threaded some twine through the holes, going under and over. I then tied a knot in the twine at the 4 ends and trimmed it. I placed adhesive foam behind each slat to add some dimension and adhered it to the centre of a sheet of Premium White Cardstock. I really couldn't be happier with how this turned out - it was exactly how I'd envisioned it.

I mounted my photo onto white cardstock, with a layer of Paper #05 behind it, which I'd torn on one edge for added texture and interest.

Next, I created a cluster in the top right corner of my layout using a large floral image which I'd fussy-cut from Paper #04, and two banner tags - one from Cardstock Tags #2 which says 'Vitamin Sea' and another from Cardstock Tags #3 which has an image of a lighthouse on it.

Behind my photo, I've added a banner tag from the Banner Die Cuts pack - I've placed it so that just one edge and the bottom are visible.

Around this, I've then embellished using lots of elements that I've fussy-cut from Paper #07 and some florals from Paper #04. These papers are my favourites in the collection because they have enabled me to stretch the collection so far. To the left of my photo I've also added an image of a ship wheel and rope which I'd fussy-cut from the B side of Paper #04.

To build up my top cluster a little more, I've also used one of the round stickers from Cardstock Stickers #3.

I finished my layout off with a chipboard title from Dusty Attic's Wordpl@y #7 which says 'Summer Days'.

If you'd like to see the layout come together, I have a process video up on my YouTube channel which you can find here

I'll be back next week with another layout using this gorgeous collection, so until then, stay safe.

Take care

Rebecca x
