August Papermaze Kit - Part 2

Hello, Lynn here with the second pair of layouts made with the colourful August Papermaze Kit. Both layouts feature photos taken just a few days before the layouts were created.
Before looking at how these were made, here are the details of what you will find in the kit.

Patterned papers:
Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Garden District - You Can Fly
Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Costal - Beach Vibes
Pink Paislee - Bloom Street - #14
Vicki Boutin - Let's Wander - Escape
Heidi Swapp - Art Walk - Full Bloom and Water Walk

Bazzill Basics Cardstock - Fig Swirl and Lemonade

The reverse side of the papers:

The Embellishment pack:

Pinkfresh puffy stickers, P13 word stickers, P13 tag, Kaisercraft curio, 2 piece chipboard butterfly, 6 buttons, 2 yellow flowers,

Bazzill Pack:

Whirlpool, London Fog, Rain Forest and Quartz.

Think Pink - These photos were taken at Annabelle's 9th birthday party, a few days after she spent a craft afternoon with her Auntie Catherine, when one of the activities was to do tie die. Everyone ended up with a pink T-shirt.

For the background I used the sheet of 'Full Bloom', with the pink side up. With Picked Raspberry and Work Lipstick Distress Paint, I made six rings using a cup rim dipped into the paint mix (these are about 11cm wide). I then used a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil - Sparkle and more paint.

Once dry I placed a photo into each circle, these were cut using a Sizzix Thinlits die set Stitched Circles (these are 9cm side).

I cut a piece about 16cm x 3cm from the '
Bloom Street - #14' paper and used the lines of the striped pattern to add my journalling, placing it under the photos.

Using some flowers from my stash and the P13 quotes from the kit, I scattered the embellishments around the photos.

For my title I used Quarts and Lemonade Bazzill, and the Sizzix thinlits Alphanumeric Shadow Uppercase die set. I inked the edges of these with Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.

A Field of Sunshine - For this page I selected one of my many photos of the Sunflower fields a little further along the lane where I live.
I selected the Rain Forest Bazzill and gutted it to leave me with a frame 2.5cm deep. Over this I mounted the 'Escape' paper, trimmed to measure 27cm x 27cm. I inked the edges of this paper and the others with Forest Moss Distress Ink.

I cut the 'Bloom Street #14' paper to measure 22cm x 22cm, selecting the paler area of the graduated yellow paper. and trimmed around the edges with a Martha Stewart Punch Around The Page Set - Cherish. This was placed in the centre of the 'Escape' paper.

The remainder of the rain Forest Bazzill was trimmed to 18.5cm x 16.5cm, and placed overlapping the #14 paper towards the bottom of the page. I mounted my photo onto some of the London Fog Bazzill. I cut a doily with a Crafter's Companion die, in Lemonade Bazzill, and cut this in half and placed half so it would peep out from the right of the photo and the other half from the bottom.

The photo and doilies were arranged to the bottom of the Bazzill, leaving room for my title. My title was made by two methods. 'Sunshine' is a sticker from Pink Paislee Paige Evans Truly Grateful Puffy Word Stickers.

The other words were cut from Lemonade and Rain Forest Bazzill using Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric Label die set. I made two small tabs to add some of the title to the page - I used scraps from the #14 paper, choosing the darker shaded part of the sheet.

From the kit I added some of the coral lace along the top of the Bazzill panel. The flowers were added to opposite corners of the #14 trimmed panel. I fussy cut some butterflies saved from the scraps of 'You Can Fly' paper, and arranged them over the page.

The P13 label was placed to the top right corner with 3D foam tape and a piece of jute twine threaded through the hole.

The date was made in the same way as the title and placed along the bottom border of the layout.

That's all from this kit, although I still have plenty of embellishments, cardstock and some scraps of patterned paper. This month I did use some of all twelve sheets of paper and card.
I'm sure I can made another layout with what I have left. I'm keen to use more of my sunflower photos.

Thanks for looking,
Lynn x
