Family Time - Uniquely Creative - Paperbark Blooms Collection

Hi everyone,

It’s Rebecca here on the blog today, sharing my second layout using the beautiful Paperbark Blooms collection from Uniquely Creative. With the sudden heatwave we’ve been experiencing lately, it was so nice to retreat to the coolness of my craft room and spend some creative time scrapping! You can find the collection in the shop here.

This layout was inspired by the Cut Florals patterned paper. I loved the hexagon designs, so I carefully cut them out and arranged a selection of them across a sheet of premium white cardstock. I chose a diagonal composition with plenty of my signature white space to keep the design feeling clean and balanced.

To build the focal point, I layered my photo over a couple of patterned papers from the 6x6 Collection Pack and distressed the edges to add extra texture and depth.

Continuing the diagonal flow of the hexagons, I created two floral clusters using the Floral Creative Cuts. I popped the elements up with foam pads to add dimension and shadow to the page. I also tucked in a couple of animals from the Creative Cuts Ephemera, which suited the photo perfectly as it was taken during a visit to a wildlife sanctuary with my son and parents.

For the title, I combined two words from the Creative Cuts Ephemera and positioned them in the top left corner to help balance the overall design and draw the eye across the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you’ve enjoyed the two layouts I’ve created with this stunning collection and that they’ve inspired you to get creative with Paperbark Blooms too!

Take care,

Rebecca xx

Enjoy - Uniquely Creative - Bohemian Escape Collection

Hi everyone,

It’s Rebecca here with you today, sharing my second layout of the month. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating with the Bohemian Escape collection by Uniquely Creative—it’s been such a joy to work with. I’m so grateful we’re able to get our hands on these beautiful collections. There are a few in stock, so don’t forget to have a browse in the shop here.

I love how elegant this collection looks when paired with a minimalistic layout and plenty of white space. It really allows the beautiful elements to shine. For this layout, I began by cutting thin strips from several patterned papers. I arranged these strips in the centre of a sheet of Premium White Cardstock, then snipped the ends at an angle to add a little extra interest. I varied the lengths, keeping shorter strips toward the edges and longer ones in the middle. I also removed the centre section to create a horizontal band of white space running at an angle across the design—I had a plan for this area but waited until the page was complete to finish it!

With my photo printed at 3x4 inches, I matted it using a couple of papers from the collection. I chose light blue and beige tones to echo the colours in my son’s shirt. To add a touch of texture, I gently distressed the edges using the blade of my scissors. I then raised the photo with a layer of foam and positioned it on the right-hand side of the layout. I embellished a couple of the corners with florals from the Creative Cuts Ephemera. These die cuts are so elegant and detailed, and I love how they look layered together.

To balance the design, I placed my title (also from the Creative Cuts Ephemera) on the left-hand side of the page. Normally, I might avoid using a solid black title with softer colours, but in this case, I loved how it tied in with the dark sunglasses in the photo and added a bold contrast to the layout.

Although I had plenty of paper strips, I felt the area beneath the title needed a little something extra. To enhance this section, I added a couple of small flowers and some of the beautiful butterflies to tie everything together.

To finish the page, I returned to the white space running through the centre and added dots of Crystal Nuvo Drops in the shade “Mustard Gold.” This subtle sparkle adds an elegant finishing touch.

Thanks so much for reading. I hope you’re enjoying creating with Uniquely Creative as much as I am. I noticed Vanessa has already added another collection to the shop, so be sure to head over to the website and check it out before it’s gone!

Take care,
Rebecca xx

Wild At Heart - Uniquely Creative - Bohemian Escape Collection

Hi everyone,

It’s Rebecca here, and I’m really excited to be on the blog today sharing my first layout created with the Bohemian Escape collection from Uniquely Creative. Uniquely Creative is a new brand to Papermaze, all the way from Australia! Their collections are absolutely beautiful and elegant, featuring the most gorgeous floral elements—perfect for any occasion.

The Bohemian Escape collection has even inspired a new hobby for me—I’ve started making cards! (Although I’m still a long way from calling myself a card-maker!) Papermaze currently have two Uniquely Creative collections in stock, and you can find them both here.

To begin, I selected five of my favourite patterned papers. With so many gorgeous designs to choose from, that was no easy task! From four of the papers, I cut small tag shapes using a metal die and my Sizzix Big Shot machine. From the fifth patterned paper, I cut a polaroid-style frame.

I arranged the tags vertically down the centre of a sheet of Premium White Cardstock, alternating their directions to add visual interest.

To the right-hand side, I positioned the polaroid frame, which houses my photo. I raised it on foam pads to introduce some dimension. Behind the photo, I layered several florals from the Creative Cuts Ephemera cuts along with a couple of the Vellum Sticker Creative Cuts.

At this point, I paused and returned to the layout the following day. With fresh eyes, I decided I wanted to reposition the vellum stickers to make them more visible. I held my breath as I carefully peeled them off—but to my surprise, they lifted perfectly and I was able to reposition them with ease! What a fantastic product.

However, I still felt that the layout looked a little heavy on the right-hand side, so I created a smaller cluster on the left to help balance the page and make the design feel more cohesive. I used the same floral die cuts and vellum stickers, and added my title using one of the banners from the collection.

To extend the clusters slightly, I cut some small leafy sprigs from the Foiled Acetate Sheet and tucked them in behind the elements. I love how these add a subtle touch of sparkle.

Through the holes in the tags, I tied various Uniquely Creative threads to bring in a little more gold.

To finish, I added a couple of die-cut butterflies and a few dots of gold Crystal Nuvo Drops.

Thanks so much for reading. I hope you’re just as excited as I am to see this beautiful new brand in the store!

Be sure to pop back at the end of the month to see the second layout I’ve created with this stunning collection.

Take care,
Rebecca xx
