Trying Something Different Today

Hello!!

I was so inspired this week and I'm excited to share with you.

It all started off by this one paper.

It's from Pretty Little Studio and it's the Love is Kind collection which you can see here.

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to use it first, but I knew I NEEDED it LOL.

You know that feeling right?!

As it was, I decided to do something different to what I'd imagined.

And this is it.

I had loads of photos of Disney snacks.

I don't like just adding lots of photos to a page, I like to see a page and have a design, so I decided to cut out the banners and try out this idea instead.

I've layered up the banners using clear tape.

The kraft paper that I've journaled on, the RR sticker and the sting bow at the top were all on the packaging of the donut in the photo : )

Then on the other side I added 4 of the banners.

And each banner then flips up.

It's a great way to add lots of photos and journaling and keeping the page so tidy looking.

I also wanted to share the cute ephemera that I've used here.

I've decorated this page using some pieces but look how much is still left over.

And if you are wondering about this cute little container, it had our banana loaf in that we had in Disney. So cute : )

Theres so many cute pieces in this collection.

Take a look at everything here

I love it all so much.

If you'd like to see the page coming together, I have a video here.

I hope this has inspired you.

Happy Scrapping.

love

Let's 'Shake it Off'!! Here's My Taylor Swift Journal

 Good Morning!!

I'm so excited to share this one with you today.

I love turning these Little Golden Books into journals.

It's just so much fun.

I have a video here if you'd like to watch how this came together.

This time I'm using a Taylor Swift book.

A friend of our's went to 2 concerts this Summer so I thought it would make a perfect gift.

And I made charms to add to the spine too.

They are such a fun addition.

And I love to add bits and pieces to pop over the top.

To make the pages inside I was inspired by the 'Our Happy Place' collection from Echo Park.

You can see the collection here.

I used this piece here to make lots of flips and pockets inside.

Then I could add them individually.

This one has a piece of clear tape at the top so it flips up and there's a journal space underneath.

Here's some other examples how I used them.

And I love this sticker sheet here.

I've added some stickers on a few plainer pages to spice them up.

And look how pretty these papers are too!

And I also cut some of the larger stickers in half to add to the sides of the pages.

I like adding fun trimmings too, like I added some lace along the bottom of the page.

And I added lots of pom pom trims too.

I hope you like this idea and it inspires you to make a gift this Christmas too.

lots of  love

Help!!! No Time To Scrap!!!

Do you also find this time of year so difficult to create?

Everyone is busy and when the weathers good you just want to get outside.

But as we are all busy making memories and doing fun stuff, it's tricky to find the time to create.

Lisa here by the way and today I'm sharing some quick tips on how to create quick fun pages when you are struggling to find the time.

I do also have a video here if you want to watch this one come together.

I decided to go with 3 photos that I already had printed (that saves time already, just pick photos that you already have to hand rather than choosing what to go and print off).

I also went with photos that didn't have a mega story to go with them.

Originally when I thought that I was going to grab 15mins at my desk, I took a bunch of photos from our travel day to Orlando, but then quickly realised that I had so many stories to tell, so many photos to work with and then memorabilia to go and find, that would NOT be a quick page.

This one is simple.

My FAVOURITE DISNEY SNACK, and that's it!

And the other tip is to grab for a collection of something.

I took the Simple Stories 'Pack Your Bags' collection here.

When you have something that completely coordinates, it takes out al that procrastination time. No picking and choosing of what to use and what goes with what. It all works.

This saves so much time.

I made the most basic of pockets today, no time for anything fancy during this 15 min journal session LOL
And this 12x12 here helps you create the quickest journal cards.

The bits and pieces are fun to use too.

I even stapled a flag here as a tab top for my journal card.

And then I used them to add some quick fun touches to this spread.

And the favourite piece of mine out of this collection is the wordy 12x12 here.

I wasn't that fussed with the images so much as I LOVE the words. This is one of those pieces I wish I'd grabbed 2 pieces. Maybe I need to grab another piece next time I order LOL.

I love using a long ruler to trim these words down to use as a title.

So fun!

I really hope you can squeeze in 15/20mins here and there over the Summer to get your scrappy time in.

Don't forget the video I have here if you'd like to watch this page being created.

Enjoy the rest of your Summer.

Hugs

Coming Back After A Creative Break

Helloooo!!
Today I'm talking about coming back after a creative break.

I really struggle after taking creative breaks. It just doesn't flow so quickly and easily.
I have to plan and think more and it just takes so much longer.
But sometimes it doesn't even happen at all. I can sit there and I just don't feel it.
So that's what I wanted to share with you today.

I was in this situation a few weeks ago.
I was trying to create after a busy few family weeks.
But thankfully I'd ordered these packs.

I love these pieces so much, They are so so easy to use.

I opened them on my crafty desk and pulled out the ones that really spoke to me.

I love how easy you can create pretty titles.

And I also created this little pocket.

I slid these postcards in behind my photos.
I stuck them back to back.
Adding photos on one side and journaled the other side.

I added bits and pieces from the packs around my photos to decorate too.

Then over on the other side I used a larger photo and added ephemera again.

And to finish I added some puffy stickers to match here .

This journal spread really helped ease me back in to creating again.
All these piece made it so easy and stress free and very fast.

I hope you've enjoyed this and feel inspired.
Thanks so much.

Let's Make A Mini Mini Journal

Hello!! Lisa here today.

We are making a double page spread in my vintage travel journal today, including trip memorabilia and we are making a teeny weeny journal too.

To start with I want to chat about the collection I'm using.
Simple Stories, Pack Your Bags here.Simple Stories, Pack Your Bags here.

So many fun papers and matching bits.

I created a little flip within this page too.

I had so many photo to ad, so this really helped home them all.

And then I decorated with the papers.

And then to add some extra journaling I decided to make a teeny journal.

I just folded over some of these papers and sewed them together.

It just took a few minutes. It was so fast and easy.

And I sewed it up in the centre.

I then decorated with these cute little stickers.these cute little stickers.

I'm so happy with this.

And then I attached it to the actual page.

I hope you've enjoyed this today.
Check out my video here if you'd like to see me making this.

Have fun
