In the Happiest place

 

Hi Lisa here today, coming to you from my happiest place, my craft desk and documenting my happiest place, disney with the lovely scrapbook collection from Simple Stories - Say Cheese - Happiest Place : )

I've made this double spread in my road trip journal.

This one is our final day in Disneyland California.

It was one of these where I had loads of photos and didn't quite know where to start.

Take a look at the collection here that I was using.

It really helped me get my stories down and add lots of photos.

I loved this 12x12 here.

It's so good for using as flips as I have done here.

This way you can add photos and journaling underneath.

That's exactly what I've done here.

It flips open to the side and I have 6 photos and journaling hidden away : )

I've done the same with the tags here.

It flips and I have another story and a photo.

I've even made an extra pocket with a torn piece and added another tag : )

This is such a fun collection to use. So many fun stickers and pieces to add.

Don't Forget To Use These

 Hi, Lisa here,

Today we are using our beloved craft punches.

Do you forget to use yours too?

I've used 3 different border punches here to make this cute pocket.

I was inspired by this cute journal card that I cut from this 12x12 sheet.

It's from a really cute collection by Echo Park called Mouse and Me.

These pockets are such a fun way to add photos.

And I've used the Element Stickers from this sheet to embellish.

Look how cute!!

I love how this journal spread turned out.

It's been so much fun using my punches again.

They always punch so well and they flat pack too.

Simple Stories ~ Say Cheese Happiest Place #2 🏰

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back again and today I’m sharing my second layout using Simple Stories Say Cheese Happiest Place, which you can find in the shop here. 

For my second layout I wanted to create a ‘Then and Now’ page. I had some photos that I’d printed from a childhood visit to Walt Disney World and I wanted to create a layout with them alongside some pictures from a more recent visit. I tried to use photos that were of the same thing/place. 

I began with ‘Meeting the Mouse’ as my base. 

I had a large & sign that I thought would work well in the centre. I then mounted my pictures on to ‘Having a Blast’ and fitted them around the & on the page. 

There were already some florals printed on the patterned paper, so I added to the florals that were already there to create a cascade of flowers across the page. I did this by fussy cutting lots of the flowers from ‘Happy Memories’ and arranging them in clusters. 

I added a title using some Doodlebug Alpha Stickers with the wording ‘Then +Now’ above and below the ampersand. 

To finish my layout, I added some enamel dots and some Nuvo drops to the centres of the flowers.

Trying Something Different Today

 

Hello!!

I was so inspired this week and I'm excited to share with you.

It all started off by this one paper.

 It's from Pretty Little Studio and it's the Love is Kind collection which you can see here. 

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to use it first, but I knew I NEEDED it LOL.

You know that feeling right?!

As it was, I decided to do something different to what I'd imagined.

And this is it.

I had loads of photos of Disney snacks.

I don't like just adding lots of photos to a page, I like to see a page and have a design, so I decided to cut out the banners and try out this idea instead.

I've layered up the banners using clear tape. 

The kraft paper that I've journaled on, the RR sticker and the sting bow at the top were all on the packaging of the donut in the photo : )

  Then on the other side I added 4 of the banners.

And each banner then flips up.

It's a great way to add lots of photos and journaling and keeping the page so tidy looking.

I also wanted to share the cute ephemera that I've used here.

I've decorated this page using some pieces but look how much is still left over.

And if you are wondering about this cute little container, it had our banana loaf in that we had in Disney. So cute : )

Theres so many cute pieces in this collection.

Mixing The Old With The New

 Hello!!

Lisa here today.

I'm chatting about mixing the old with the new.

Let's start with the OLD.

I transformed this old vintage book into a journal last year.

You can see the video where I did this here.

And today I'm adding some new pieces from Echo park to tell my story.

I was inspired today by this paper here.

I loved the fact that it would help me share the stories from this Disney day.

I used an original page in this book which has amazing illustrations. It's so colourful.

I wasn't sure how this would work with the new scrapbooking papers but it turned out so well and was so complimentary. 

I added some of the paper and also some stickers from this 12x12 sheet. 

The stickers 'full of love' were actually just one sticker and I cut it to make 2 and this worked so well as a title : )

  

On the other side I wanted to add more photos and stories.

This square piece was cut and I created a little flip.

Revealing more photos and another story.

I added a few more of the stickers too.

 I'm so happy with how this page turned out.

The mix of old and new just go so well together.  

I'm in love with those colours.

I hope you like this mix too.

Simple Stories ~ Say Cheese Classic Mouse #2 🐭

Hello! It’s Anna back again sharing my second layout this month using Simple Stories Say Cheese Classic Mouse. You can find this collection in the shop here. 

I used a Mickey head cutfile as a background on top of my white bazzill cardstock base. 

I mounted my two 3x4 photos with the b side of the 4x6 elements paper and then chose a couple of pieces from the journal bits and pieces pack. I layered all of these together across the centre of the page. 

I then chose a couple of tags from the tag elements paper and layered them underneath my two photos. I punched a hole in the top and added some thread. 

I added some stickers from the cardstock stickers around my layout. 

I used a star punch to add some little stars to my layout from black cardstock. 

Finally, I added my title, I used three different colours of Doodlebug Alphabet Soup.

Simple Stories ~ Say Cheese Classic Mouse #1 💛❤️

Hi everyone, it’s Anna here and this month I’m working with Say Cheese Classic Mouse by Simple Stories, you can find the collection in the shop here. 

Now I do love a multi photo layout, but my first layout with this collection takes that statement to a whole new level…

I was inspired to create this layout by Paige Evans who created a multi photo Mickey Head layout which she shared on her social media a few weeks back. Check out her socials to see her layout. 

I used the b side of Just Imagine as my base. It’s muted tones made for a great base to start. 

I then printed lots of my favourite photos from a Disney trip. 

I will probably use this as a title or final page in this holidays’ album. 

I cut out a Mickey shaped head on my silhouette cameo, just onto plain white cardstock and then arranged all of the little photos onto the head. 

(Paige Evans does a Mickey head cutfile and a stitching version too)

I drew around the Mickey head in the position that I wanted to place it on the page, and then used Distress Ink, in the shade of Scattered Straw to go over the pencil lines and create a boarder around the cutfile. 

I then adhered the Mickey head, lining it up with my pencil line. 

I picked out some Journal Bits and Pieces, I used one as a journal card and one as a mount for my title. 

 I finished my layout off by adding a few cardstock stickers.
