Journaling with MME Journal Cards

Journaling is a really important part of my scrapbooking. I like to think that anyone would be able to sit down, look through one of my albums and know who is who and the story behind the photo.
I love using cards, tags and things to journal on. They add an extra layer to the page and if you struggle with the journaling, these can really make life easier for you and even give you new ideas for LO's.

I've made 3 LO's below using My Minds Eye Journal Cards to show you some examples.
There are loads of different cards for all kinds of events and activities. Take a look here.

Using this particular MME Journal Card I was able to tell a short story of how my son didn't want his photo taken with Minnie Mouse, as she's a girl. There's not huge amounts of info, but enough for us to remember his reaction when we had this photo taken. Rather than just scrapping the photo with a cute title.

Supplies used: BazzillBasics & Swissdots, lightly brushed over with dabber paints, edges distressed and inked with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Journal Tags Elles Studio & My Minds Eye. American Crafts Thickers. Blooms which have been inked up. Heart Pin.
And buttons.

By seeing this next My Minds Eye card, it sparked off a whole new idea for this LO.
I teamed it up with these October Afternoon Stickers and the journaling just flowed. The stickers acted as mini subtitles. All I did was draw in a few lines using pen and ruler and wrote down a few notes.

Supplies:Bazzill Basics, Ink for the edges, Mini Alphas from October Afternoon, October Afternoon Roadmap Stickers, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists, Brads.

The Journal Card on the next one could be great on any LO, it's so versatile.Perfect to write down a few facts or a short story to go wih your photo.

Supplies: Bazzil Basics, Paint Dabbers to frame my photo. The Clouds were cut from this My Minds Eye PP, I've cut strips from another piece of PP from the same range here. And taken the scalloped egdes from this piece here. American Crafts Thickers. The buttons and leaves are My Minds Eye Stickers. They have been inked and sewn on to.

Thanks for looking and happy journaling x
