Back to School with Websters Pages...

Hi, it's Anna here!
The summer holidays are finally here! We have been really looking forward to it in our house and are looking forward to making lots of summer memories.
So the holidays have just begun, but before we know it it will be time for the start of the new term. With this in mind, today I have a 'back to school' page to show you using the Websters Pages 'Hall Pass' Collection.

I started with this patterned paper and used this paper to cut out the letters from my sons name.  I have also used some Simple Stories sn@p stickers which you can see here.

I asked my son to write his name in the Polaroid frame at the bottom of the page...

I'll be back soon but until then, have a lovely summer everyone!

Graphics 45

Hi, Carol with you today….

I adore Graphics 45 paper, but, do appreciate that its not everyones cup of tea and some of the designs can be really strong and bold, so I thought I would use the Precious Memories papers and make a few cards and one of them I'm sharing here with you today…

so, my base was a pre-scored 6x6 card base.  I covered this with the florally paper cut to size with the edges distressed and inked and then doodled on with black pen, I also did this for the next layer which was cut slightly smaller… these papers are the backs of some of the stronger patterns… using the pale cream sheet I die cut a label, inked the edges and stamped on a sentiment, the cream cardstock was also cut to size for the "baby girl" sentiment - there are loads of dies out there and a good set of labels is always going to be a good buy… I also die cut a swirl dieflowers were added along with bling, lace and pins… to finish off my card.

Take a look at the Graphics papers in store - they are such fab quality and such unique designs they are sure to add a certain something to all of your projects.

Introducing the Fuse...

Hi its Julie here to show you a different use for the new fabulous We Are Memory Keepers Fuse tool, which has just arrived in the shop and can be found here!  I have seen several Project Life users show how you can utilize the Fuse tool to make your own individual sized Project Life pockets for embellishments or for  different sized memorabilia but I thought I would take the Fuse tool one step further.  I have made my own clear embellishments that I feel you can use on layouts, cards, gift cards the list is endless!

To start with you need a die cutting machine, dies, a Fuse tool with the circular serrated edge header and a plastic pocket.

I have found that larger dies work a little better and give you more room to fill glitter, sequins or homemade enamel dots.  I laid the plastic pocket on top of the die and created the appropriate "sandwich" for my machine.  I have found even with the original Sizzix dies this works best with a shim of some kind, I used two layers of cardstock but I've used felt, cardboard basically whatever I had on my desk.

You should be left with two clean cut plastic pieces of the shape you require, my smaller dies didn't cut through completely but a quick nudge with a pair of scissors and they came away from the plastic very easily.

The Fuse tool needs about 10 minutes to get to a good heat to fuse the plastic pockets effectively, it comes with a little stand that you can rest the tool on whilst you aren't using it.

I followed the edge of the butterfly I cut with the Fuse tool, as I am using the circular "fuse" head for the tool it is a very smooth easy process.

I left a little section of the butterfly unfinished so I could fill it with sequins then I continue with the Fuse to completely seal the butterfly.

The Fuse effortlessly sealed all the edges and now my clear embellishment is
complete!

I also made a little gingerbread house tag which would was very quick and easy and filled it with sequins and homemade enamel dots, perfect for Christmas!

journal page

Hi, Carol with you today.  In my last post I used some of the gorgeous dylusion paints…. after I had finished my project I had some paint left over, so using a damp baby wipe I added them to my journal….here is my finished project:-

I stamped around the edges of my journal using the Emma Godfrey stamps from Paperartsy…once stamped I coloured in using various posca pens, adding white doodled dots to some.  The background was created by adding paint thro' a sequin waste mask, stamping with paint with Emma Godfrey set 02 - I doodled some circles and then criss crossed them… painted lines were added using the edge of an old store card.  I then stamped a couple of Banksy inspired stamps…

Crate Paper Journey

Hi, It's Anna here to show you a layout that I have created with the Crate Paper Journey papers.

So I started off by having 3 similar photographs that I wanted to scrap together. After arranging them on my bazzill cardstock, I cut out some of the elements from the patterned papers to use.
Patterns from the 'tribal' paper, feathers from the 'free spirit' paper and chevrons from the reverse side of 'free spirit'.

To create the splatted paint effect, I used a paint dabber. You can find a selection of colours here.

I then layered up my patterned paper elements with some buttons and wood chip arrows alongside my photographs.

These letters by Bo Bunny are fab for squeezing in a small title!

See you again soon!
