Lynn here today, and I'm back with more from the July Papermaze kit. These are my second two of four layouts created with this lovely kit. There are some beautiful papers and embellishments in the kit together with two sheets of coordinating Bazzill. A pack of four more sheets of Bazzill has been colour matched to the papers and is available separately.
The kit contents are displayed in the photo below, and is available online and from the store.Patterned Papers:
49 & Market - Kaleidoscope - Treasured Teal & Animated Travelers
Graphic 45 - Flight of Fancy - Hello Beautiful
Photoplay - Cocoa Paradise - Paradise Found & Tropical Floral
Simple Stories - Essential Colour Palate - Teal Collage
The photo below shows both sides of the six papers
Embellishments:
Vintage Spring Garden Frame, 49 & Market Kaleidoscope chipboard words, Rosie's Studio Born to Bloom gemstones, Rosie's Studio Belleview Postcards, Prima Magnolia Flower, 49 & Market Grove Acetate Delicate Leaves, Carta Bella Here Comes Spring Fresh Market Flowers Washi tape, length green twine.
Bazzill Basics Cardstock - Bazzill White, Piglet (supplied in kit), Jelly Fish, Parakeet, Fussy and Whirlpool (in extra Bazzill pack).
Miss Potter - I made this layout with a postcard of the famous author, artist and farmer Beatrix Potter, at Hill Top Farm, Near Sawrey, Cumbria.
I prepared the Animated Travelers paper with the green pattern face up and the manufacturer's strip running along the base of the page. I found the manufacturer's strip, removed from Treasured Teal and glued this along the top of the page. I trimmed these strips with some paper lace from my stash.
The postcard was mounted behind the Vintage Spring Garden Frame, and arranged on the page. I trimmed a few leftover pieces from the Teal Collage paper and arranged these to the right side of the photo. I used the acetate leaves and butterfly from the kit and placed them where I wanted them to go.
I created a small cluster at the base of the photo by adding the Prima Magnolia Flower from the kit. I also used some tickets cut from a sheet of Mintay paper left over from a previous kit (MT-GAT-05). I tied the twine from the kit around these tickets, then added my journalling.
For the title I cut some letters using the Cricut, I cut the letters twice, once from scraps of Whirlpool Bazzill and a second time from scraps of Paradise Found paper. These were arranged onto the page overlapping each other to create a shadow.
Once I was happy with the arrangement of all the elements, they were stuck into place.
Finally, I scattered the Rosie's Studio Born to Bloom gemstones over the page.
Playtime @ Parkrun - It's fun to try different parkrun venues throughout the year, so my daughter and I went to find the Norwich Parkrun at Eaton Park on coronation day last year. Then we sat and watched the royal procession and celebrations on the big screen later in the day.
I stencilled some stars over the Bazzill White cardstock using the Tim Holtz Layered Stencil THS170 (Spellbound), and Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Evergreen Bough and Peacock Feathers).
I fussy cut lots of elements and blocks of pattern and colour from the Teal Collage paper, and arranged them with the photos on the page.
Once everything was arranged, I stuck it into place, some flat to the page and others raised on 3D foam pads.
To add a title and other information, I used two of the chipboard words from the kit and Doodlebug Designs Alphabet Soup puffy alpha stickers.
That's all for the July Kit, I'll be back with the August kit soon.
Thanks for looking
Lynn x
