A Trio of Cards

I seem to have had quite a few birthday cards to make lately, so I thought I would share with you three of my favourites...

This one uses October Afternoon Hometown papers. I cut out 3 flowers from the Depot Park paper and mounted them on to rectangles of Main Street paper and blue cardstock. The circle in the middle is yellow glitter paper, and the strip of bright yellow is an old offcut I found in my scraps box! The scallops are made by punching circles and sticking them to the back of the large circle. The wording was stamped with some small letter stamps and a bit of doodling and bling finishes it off!!

For the next two cards I used My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow. For this one I cut out 1.5" squares from various papers - and of course being double-sided you get twice the number of patterns! I then inked each square and added a faux-stitching line. I cut three flowers from the Fresh As A Daisy paper, curled them slightly before mounting them onto a piece of contrasting paper from the collection. The brads are doodlebug crushed velvet.

It's finished off with some American Crafts tie rack and scalloped ribbon which is tied together with a bit of raffia and accented with a heart pin.

The final card has an acetate butterfly in the middle! The stamp is by Basic Grey and I've used teal stazon, then carefully cut round and folded up the wings slightly.

Again the scalloped circles are made by punching circles and attaching them individually. I've used my current favourite punch along the top and bottom - effervescence - and finished off with some self-adhesive pearls.
