Scissor Happy with My Little Shoebox

Hi! It's Lisa here with two bright happy cards to show you.

I just love the My Little Shoebox papers. They are so fun to play with. I would like to share some ideas on how to use up your scraps.

These papers are shouting out to be cut up. With the big bold patterns, flowers, butterflies and my favourite, the strips. See here to see what I mean.
After making some LO's with the papers, I didn't want to throw away my scraps. They are too pretty to bin. So I have made these two cards.

For this card above, I cut a strip and punched another (using this punch). A little tip, when using this scalloped border punch, keep the bits left over. I'll show you why next.
Layer those two strips at the bottom of the card. I've then punched a flower and a small scalloped circle from the papers to make a flower. The butterfly was cut out from this paper here. The card has been finished with these letter alphas.

This next card, I cut a circle out of the same paper and punched 2 smaller circles.

I've used this butterfly punch and the dotted butterfly trail is made from the tiny circles left over from the scallop border punch that I used on my previous card.

A great way to use up those scraps.
