Colour Combination...

Colour combinations are very trendy right now...there are many blogs and challenges that cover this scrapbooking topic...

So for the next four weeks we are going to be covering this topic...with examples and tutorials..at the end of this month we are going to ask you to chose your fav colour combination, do a card, page or altered item and then send it in!
Here is the prize..a set of Technique Tuesday stamps

So here is the first colour combination for this month...

For this colour combination i have used the paper line from Bella Blvd called One fall day...which covers the most gorgeous colours!

here is my take on this colour combination...there is no sentiment on there at the moment as i am not sure what the card will be used for...but when i add it on i plan to add it to the red banner that runs across the card!

A top tip for easy card making...i often use embossing folders on my cards...do you use these? I use them alot, they are an easy and cheap way of adding decoration to your cards! For this card i used this  embossing folder to add some texture!

Have you tried to make the pleated flowers yet? i know there are many tutorials out there about making them and i have tried them...i have a problem with them, mine are never even, they never stay put and always come apart...in fact i had given up! But then i stumbled across some in the galleries and tried to make them a different way..and it worked!

here is a close up of the one that i made for this card...do you want to know how?
Well i used a scalloped edge circle punch...this one.

I punched out two...

I creased the lines all the way across...with a bone folder or you can use a score board.

Cut a line down the middle...only half way not all the way though.

...do this to both.. and fold them!

and add them together!

sooooo much easier! and prettier...you can then have the choice of edges without the fuss..the spellbinder nestabilities would be perfect for this...some of there edging would be wonderful!

supplies used...Bella B ...Maya Road pins ...Resin flowers ...Prima flowers...embossing folder ...Butterfly punch ...

We will be back next week with another colour combination...
