Product Review...Smash

I had not had the chance to see any of the Smash stuff in real life before they came into the shop....and to be honest I really wasn't sure what they were or how they could be used....but oh my! There are so many things that I can use on my pages...........lots of these things came home with me!

First up we have this...smash tabs...i have already used these on one of my pages...

 You can see the sizes in the photo below...

Next up....these i grabbed as well....not a smash person? well think of these on a page...added to the side of some pattern paper or a photo.......perfect!

Here are the sizes...

In the smash section are some small books...small journalling cards to add to your smash book or your pages...now they are sealed at the bottom so I couldn't open it up for you to see it all, but i had a go....here is what they are like inside...

 also perfect if you are doing or going to be doing project life.

Answers & winners

A big thank you to everyone who entered our Easter Egg hunt last week. We had lots of entries and I've been sorting through all my emails, making sure I haven't missed anyone.

Colour combo competition...

Morning all...

Today we start our first competition /giveaway.

Over the next four weeks we are going to be showing you four different colour combinations with examples...when these are all up it is then your turn.

You have to chose one of the four colour combos ( or more if you are up for it) to create a page, card or project . Once done...email to me at wendy@bbbweb.com and i will put you all into a draw and then pick a winner. And the prize? a £20 voucher to spend on the online shop on whatever you fancy :) sound good? Okay then...let's get started!

The first colour combination is....

If you are not aware there is a website called Design seeds which is full of colour combination for every occasion...a beautiful website and really worth a look! This is where all of our colour combos are coming from this time!
 First up i chose my papers.....this paper from Basic grey was my starting point...Trantella 
have you seen this paperline? it is seriously beautiful!

 The flowers, the background colour and the leaves are a perfect match for the colour combination.
I then set out to find other papers that match this and the colour combination. I have all my papers in colour order now so it was really easy! This is what i came up with!

 They are the following:
Ruby Rocket Avalon paper called Mysterious
Dear Lizzy vellum ( yep vellum...i never thought anyone would ever again make me buy vellum...how wrong can you be!!!!) called Lovely Afternoon.
Echo Park Victoria Gardens called Windchime
Dear Lizzy Heart Song pattern paper.

They all matched together perfectly.

I have to admit that have never even thought about buying the packets of die cuts from october afternoon called Flower stacks. I have always seen them and thought...well i could punch that out for myself...but this time i treated myself to this one...

and i am a tiny bit obsessed with them...i am in love with the word strips...i used some of the die cuts on this page as you can see on the image below! and the circles with the text on...i love the little notches that it has...really jazzes it up.

I will admit that when i go back to the shop i will be buying the other packets that i saw sitting there!!!

and i love making up my own word strips at the moment...adding words from the journalling...

Layers and Layers

Hi, it's Lisa here with you today.
I've been having fun layering up some of the 'Bella' Paper Boy paperz.
Aren't they cool?!!



I've used 4 different coordinating patterned papers. Just cutting and trimming down and layering. When I finished it though it felt a little too busy and I needed something to pull int all together. That's when the 'black' came in.
I trimmed down the LO, top and bottom. I mounted it on to black cardstock, added the black 'YOU' using American Crafts Thickers, I made a black scalloped strip using s EK Sucess Border punch and then punched out the black circles.
This made such a difefrence to the LO.


The 12x12 paper with all the journal cards and tags is really fun to use. I've cut up quite a few to use on this LO. They make the layered look very easy, plus it's a great way to add your journaling to a page.

I really love the layered look : )

The final clue...

Hello everyone :)
I hope you've all had a good day and are enjoying the Easter break! How did you spend it? I was clearing out my scrapping stuff and re-organising so I can find everything again!
