Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand & Sea - Kypseli

Lynn here today with a new Papermaze DT layout using The Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand and Sea collection. Previously I created two layouts using the gentler colours from this collection, so here is a layout with the stronger blue and red colours.

This layout has a more nautical theme, a photo of my husband and me onboard the yacht 'Kypseli', our home for two weeks flotilla sailing in the Greek Ionian Islands last year.

I used a sheet of Avalanche Bazzill cardstock, and with a scrap of polythene, I applied watered down Distress Oxide Ink (Uncharted Mariner) to the card.

I cut pieces from the several papers from the collection:
1.75" x 10" Stay Salty (red & White stripe), 7" x 5" Shore is Fun (Blue & White spot) & 5.5" x 6" Great Escape (wooden board area). The edges were inked and arranged as seen in the image.

My photo was mounted onto white card, and place at the centre of the page. I added the date under the photo with Doodlebug Designs Teensy Type - Blue Jean alphabet stickers. The Yacht name title was made with Doodlebug Designs My Type Alphabet Stickers - Lily White

For embellishments I added:
A tag top selected from the Tag Elements paper, with a large white brad. stickers including 'Let's 'Sail Away' and the seagull from the Cardstock Sticker Icons sheet.
The seagull label and a red & white dot label from the Journal Bits pack.
I chose a section from the 3x4 / 4x6 Elements paper, and cut out the yacht and the phrase.
With the 49 and Market - Summer Porch collection - Laser Cut Elements, I selected the net and the blue knotted rope.
A few acrylic anchors from my stash.

The net was placed to the left side of the layout, with the blue rope over the top. I cut a slot in the seagull label and threaded it through the rope. The rope was arranged over the net with the label to the top left of the layout.

The yacht was placed to the bottom left and stuck down with 3D pads. The phrase 'set sale on new adventures' was placed to the right of the wood paper. the red and white dot label has journalling written on it and it was tucked into the top of the photo. It can be removed to read the details.

That's all for today, I'll be back with another layout from this collection soon.
Thanks for looking.

Echo Park ~ You Are My Sunshine #1 ☀️

Hello everyone, it's Anna back with you today. This month I'm working with Echo Park You Are My Sunshine - a fabulous collection to brighten your day, with bright colours, florals and plenty of sunshine!

You can find the collection in the shop here

To create this layout I used a sheet of white cardstock as my base. I wanted to use the b side of sunshine floral, as the green pattern matched well with my photographs.
So I trimmed it down by around an inch on each side and adhered to the white cardstock.

I then chose a coordinating colour thread and hand stitched around the sunshine floral patterned paper.
I then grabbed the 3x4 journal cards and chose four of them that would work well with my photos. I had 5 pictures that I wanted to get on this page and arranging them with the journal cards is one of my go to ways to fit multiple pictures on a page.

I arranged the photos and journal cards together and adhered them to my layout.

I then added my embellishments, I selected a few element stickers. I tucked the large florals under the right edge of the photo and added a sunshine sticker at the top, alongside my title.

I fussy cut a couple of florals from Sunshine Floral and tucked them under my journal cards next to some small florals from the element stickers.

Thanks so much for looking! See you later in the month with a second layout using this collection!

Simple Stories ~ Take Note #3 🏷️

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back with you today to share my third and final layout using Simple Stories - Take Note.

You can find the collection in the shop here

To create this layout I used bazzill cardstock as my base. I had the full sheet of tag elements left in my kit of this collection, so I decided to just use the tags to create my page. I love the Simple Stories tags and they can be used in so many ways to create a full page layout as well as feature on one.

I cut out all of the tags individually and chose 12 of them to use on this page, just leaving 3 unused.

I arranged the tags on my layout, and adhered multiple mini photos to the tags. I joined some of the tags together by punching a hole at the top of them and threading through some twine

Once I was happy with the placement of my photos, I adhered them to the tags and then began adding clusters of embellishments.

I used the Floral Bits and Pieces and the Element stickers, tucking them around the tags and photos in clusters. I completed my layout by adding a title using alpha stickers.

Thanks so much for looking.

See you in March with a new collection!

Simple Stories ~ Take Note #2 🗒️

Hello everyone, it’s Anna back with you today after a short break due to some technical issues!
I’m now able to share my second layout using Simple Stories Take Note - which you can find in the shop here

To create this layout I’ve used a cutfile by Peartree Cutfiles which is a repetitive 2026 circle. I cut the cutfile out of white bazzill cardstock and then backed the stars with pieces of yellow patterned paper from ‘Focus on the Day’ before adhering it on to some navy bazzill cardstock. I also kept the off cut from my cutfile, which made a great border.

I backed the circle in the middle of my cutfile with the b side of the ‘4x6 elements’ and then cut out another circle to layer on top using the b side of ‘get it done’.
I then mounted my photo on to the a side of ‘get it done’ and adhered it off centre.

I picked out a selection of flowers from the floral bits and pieces and tucked them above and under my photograph.

I used the element stickers to create clusters of embellishments around my photo.
Finally, I added some more floral bits to the edge of my border on the top right and bottom left, by just cutting them in half and tucking them in.

Thanks so much for looking!
I’ll see you later on this month with one final layout using this collection.
See you then.

Echo Park ~ Christmas Express #2

Hello everyone and Happy Christmas! Hope you’ve all been enjoying the festive period and making memories to document!
I’ve been enjoying some crafty time in amongst all the Christmas fun. So I went back to using Echo Park Christmas Express to create another page.

I began with a sheet of white bazzill as my base. I then created a star template in various sizes on my silhouette cameo. I used the template to draw around North Pole Plaid and then a slightly smaller star from Holly Jolly Stockings, so that I could layer them on top of each other. I then cut out some smaller stars from the b side of Red Snowflakes

After distressing the edges, I adhered my large stars off centre to the left and trimmed off the excess. I then layered my photo on to some red coordinating bazzill cardstock and Red Snowflakes

I placed my mounted photo in the centre of the star and alongside it I added a 3x4 journal card

I added the smaller stars randomly around the rest of the layout and also added in a few Element stickers

I used some stars, snowflakes and sentiments from the Vicki Boutin Peppermint Kisses, Ho Ho Ho Phrase Thickers

Thanks so much for looking!
I’ll see you again in January when I’ll be working with Simple Stories Take Note.

Happy New Year!

Carta Bella - Christmas in the City - Merry & Bright

Hello everyone!

The festivities are getting nearer and I've taken the opportunity to spend some time at my crafty desk scrapping memories of a Christmas shopping trip.

For this layout I'm using the Christmas in the City collection by Carta Bella. One of the icons is a red snow globe with a cityscape inside and it inspired me to create my own.

I cut the snowglobe on my cricut using the red coordinating cardstock from the matchmaker pack. Once it was cut, I used it as a template to cut around the stunning Christmas City Scene paper.

Before sticking anything together, I added a layer of acetate to the snowglobe and backed the edge with thick foam tape being careful not to leave any gaps. I added sequins, glittery bits and mini foam balls and then added the background paper to create a giant shaker!

I mounted my photos using the blue side of the Merry Snowflake Sky paper and adhered these to the bottom left of the globe.

To embellish I chose a variety of stickers from the Element Stickers. I arranged them around my photograph to bring the scene to life.

This included a big bold sticker 'Merry & Bright' which I used as my title.

I also added a small cluster of snowflake stickers opposite the photos on the top of the globe to help balance the design.

This was a really fun one to make that came together really quickly. It's such an inspiring collection, do drop by and check it out here, but be quick, it's proving popular!

I hope you find some creative time this holiday and enjoy the festivities!

Simple Stories ~ Happy Travels ✈️ #2

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back with you today. I’m sharing my second layout using Simple Stories Happy Travels.
You can find this collection in the shop here

To create this layout, I started with the b side of ‘Here & Now’ as my base.
I then cut out a large circle from some white bazzill cardstock and a thinner boarder circle ‘Scenic Route’

I mounted my photo on to some coordinating cardstock from the matchmaker pack and double mounted on to the b side of journal elements

I cut out a journaling card from the journal elements and adhered it to the right of my photo.

I then added various stickers from the element stickers and placed them in a cluster across the page.

I fussy cut some clouds from ‘scenic route’ and adhered them to the top right of the circle.

Thanks so much for looking!

See you next month with a new collection.

Simple Stories ~ Happy Travels 🧭 #1

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back with you today.
This month I’m working with Simple Stories Happy Travels which you can find in the shop - here
This collection has been out for a couple of months now, but it’s still available in the shop and it is perfect to document your post summer holiday travels.

To create this layout I gutted ‘Travel Buddies’ and trimmed down some white bazzill cardstock, leaving about an inch on each side. I adhered the cardstock to ‘Travel Buddies’ creating a border.

I then printed my photos and mounted them onto coordinating cardstock in strips.

I cut out some journaling elements from ‘Journal Elements’ and placed them alongside my photo strips to use as my journaling boxes.

I added some element stickers around the layout, including the ‘Let’s go exploring’ title, at the top of one of my photo strips.

I wanted to add in some extra detail to the top right of the layout. So I cut out a small section of paper from 3x4 journaling cards, along with a couple of element stickers.

Thanks so much for looking!
See you later in the month with another layout using this collection.
