Celebrating Summer Days

Hi!! It's Lisa here.  Today I am celebrating Summer Days.
It's a beautiful Summer collection from Simple Stories. You can view the whole range here.

I love how happy and bright everything is.
I've used a photo from last Summer and thought I'd create a 12x12 page today.

I have a thing for clouds, so this was the first paper that caught my eye. I've layered up some of the papers from the collection beneath my photo.
The other favourite paper of mine is the 'snapshots' paper

I decided to attach all the little cameras with 3d sticky tape and run some twine along the top to make it look like bunting. I just secured the twine with a few blobs of pva glue.

The paper collections have some with some really pretty 12x12 die cut cards. I love cutting these out. I've used this one here to journal on.

The Chipboard Stickers are a great way to add titles and embellishments to the page. Really giving it that extra dimension.

And I just love the 12x12 sheets of stickers. I really enjoy the word strips. They are fun to stick on together like this. You can even stick them straight on to your photos like I have here.

I wanted to add a little more colour to finish the layout, so I've taken a red watercolour pencil, dipped in water and doodled around the outside of a few of the clouds to really make them stand out. I love how this really brings out the other red elements on this page.

I hope you've enjoyed this today.
If you haven't checked out the Summer Days collection yet. Do so here.
It's just perfect for your Summer scrapbooking.

Lisa x
