Carta Bella Spring Market - # Cute Gardener layout

Hello. Karen here. I hope you're enjoying the fabulous sunny Bank Holiday weather we're having.

I have a scrapbook layout today using the Carta Bella Spring Market collection. This collection has such a pretty, fresh, spring vibe and is full of gorgeous florals, wood grain panels and gardening themes. It's perfect for any garden themed layouts but also for general spring layouts and cards. It has lots of pink in it but also green and brown tones.

I choose to use two photos of my daughter taken many years ago when she was 'helping' with the gardening.

I started with a 12x12 white Bazzill cardstock base which I trimmed slightly and matted on the pink patterned paper. A horizontal strip of the 'Market Planters' paper and thin strips of the wood grain paper were glued near the bottom of the layout. I machine stitched with black thread around the edge of the layout.

My 4x6 photos were matted on the woodgrain paper and stuck to the layout using 3D foam to add some dimension.

I fussy cut lots of flowers and leaves from the 'Market Floral' paper and used these to create clusters on three corners of the photos.

I added some Studio Calico wood veneer butterflies, a tiny fussy cut trowel, brads from Simple Stories Domestic Bliss collection, stickers and die cuts.

In the top right corner I created a banner using paper flags from the die cut pack, wood veneer hearts and another fussy cut flower. I machine stitched across the top of the banner.

My layout was completed with a title die cut from the woodgrain paper and I added computer printed journalling strips at the bottom.

I really enjoyed creating this layout and there are a lot more papers, etc in the collection to inspire you which you can find in the shop.

Enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday weekend and I'll be back soon with another project.
