Echo Park ~ Fall #1

 Hello all,

It’s Anna back today and I’m working with a brand new collection - Echo Park Fall - you can see the whole collection in the shop here

This collection is perfect for documenting the season of autumn, the colours and images are just perfect. So after a trip to a pumpkin patch, I had so many photos to scrap that worked so well with it. Therefore, my first layout is a double page spread! I very rarely do double pages these days, so it’s a bit different for me, but I’m glad I could use several photos!

I began with two sheets of bazzill white cardstock. To make the double page flow, I went with a mirror image design. I trimmed the b side of the 4x4 journaling cards paper in half and stuck it down in the middle, leaving room around the edges to add in extra strips. I then added strips of the b sides of fall phrases, patch plaid and pumpkin patch. I finished with a longer strip of the red side of  patch plaid with banner edges.

I mounted my photographs onto coordinating cardstock and patterned papers from the collection.

I used several of the element stickers and puffy stickers to embellish my layout. I also added in a few of the puffy leaf stickers from the Jen Hadfield Peaceful Heart Collection

I made a hidden journaling box, by combining a project life card with one of the 3x4 journaling cards. I tucked this in behind my largest photo, and it can easily be pulled out to read the journaling.

Lastly, I added in a few Nuvo Drops around some of the clusters of embellishments using the shade of pale gold.

Thanks so much for looking!

I’ll be back soon with another layout using this collection.

Echo Park ~ Magical Birthday Boy #3

Hi all, it’s Anna back with you again! Today I’m sharing my fourth and final layout with the Echo Park magical birthday boy collection. Which you can find in the shop here.
You can see my first layout and blog post here and my second and third layouts here
In my first blog post I mentioned that I hoped I’d show you a variety of layouts created with this collection. Although my other layouts have been birthday related as per the theme of the collection. My final layout isn’t birthday related, but is still Disney themed!

I have used the balloons patterned paper (b side) from the collection as my base. I then used an Echo Park cutfile, which I cut out on vellum to create the castle.

Around the edge of the vellum castle I created a silver Nuvo drop boarder.
I fussy cut lots of the clouds and balloons from the tags patterned paper. I adhered some flat and others slightly raised on 3D foam pads. I then used some silver thread to hand stitch the balloons’ string.

I’ve included a few interactive elements in these magical birthday boy pages and I’ve done it again on this layout! There was some journaling that I wanted to include which is important to the page. So I made the photo into a flap, which opens to reveal two sides of journaling. I used two Project Life journaling cards for this. My reason behind this was because I really didn’t want to go overboard with this layout, I really wanted the castle to be clear to see. If I’d of added too much more to the page or lots of journaling, it would have been a shame to loose the look of the castle. So interactive elements are also a great space saver.

I added a phrase fussy cut from the birthday fun patterned paper to the top right hand corner along with a couple of the banner stickers from the element stickers and some acrylic embellishments.

Thanks so much for looking, have a great week!
I’ll be back soon with a new collection.

Echo Park ~ Magical Birthday Boy #1

Hi all and Happy Friday!
It’s Anna back with you and this month I’m working with a new collection - Echo Park Magical Birthday boy. You can find the whole collection in the shop here. This collection was released alongside a ‘sister’ collection in Magical Birthday Girl and you can find this collection in the shop too here. Both collections are Disney and birthday themed, but don’t be put off by the Disney theme as they’d work really well for non Disney birthdays too or indeed just Disney pages. I have created 4 layouts to share with you over the next few weeks and I hope that you’ll find that I have really tried to vary my pages that I have made with this collection.
For my first layout, it is a Disney birthday! Several  years back, I celebrated my birthday at Disneyland Paris, so this page documents this...

I began by gutting the Make a Wish paper and trimming some bazzill cardstock down by about a centimetre each side. I gave the cardstock some texture by distressing the edges.
I then used my silhouette cameo to cut out a Paige Evans balloons cutfile, but rather than use the cutfile on the layout, I used it as a template to create sewing holes, I then sew the balloons in coordinating coloured thread.

I wanted to include a second photo which was a card that my parents gave me, it was significant to my Disney birthday because they brought it in France and it has French wording. However it didn’t really fit it with the colours on my layout, so I made an interactive element, covering it with a ‘lift the flap’. I created this using one of the wording shapes from the Birthday Fun paper.

I used a few of the element stickers around my layout and also fussy cut some of the clouds from the B side of the Tags paper.

I cut out three of the journaling tags from the Tags patterned paper, and made them into a little mini book to tell the story.

To finish, I added some Nuvo drops along the side of my photograph and in clusters around the page.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a great weekend!
