So, for this post we are going to use the following:-
Size 8 tag - either cut with the Tim Holtz Alterations die or one fresh out of the packet!!
Distress Inks
Acryllic paints
Stencils - for this tag I've used Blazonary, a small circle stencil,
Washi tape
Film strip embellishment by Ranger
Bling
Simple Stories 24/seven layered stickers...
so, to start...
Take your tag and colour using acryllic paints.
Then take the blazonary stencil and stencil with a dark colour, dry, then move the stencil off shape and add a lighter colour on top - the tag should look like this:-
This is called the bumping technique and was initially shown by Lynne Perella - great technique. Then using an old credit card I added some painted lines, and by using a small circle stencil added further stencilling with burgundy paint.
Washi tape was added for texture...then I added a piece of film strip embellishment and some of the three D stickers from Simple Stories 24/7. To finish the edges were inked with distress ink.
et voila:-
I've added some bling to the embellishments......
Some of the stencils have such great shapes within the stencil - by masking off some of the stencil, using cut and dry foam with distress inks you can create quick, simple but classy cards:-
The stencil used here was mini garden gate by the crafters workshop...
See you soon
