Hello, Karen here. Today I have another layout to share using the gorgeous Adventurous collection by Paige Evans for American Crafts.
It's time to crop again! This Saturday, the 27th, we are at Otley Village Hall between 10am and 4pm, spending the day scrapping :) Our beautiful crop kit , with its unusual paper folding technique, has been designed for us by Lynn and uses the Simple Vintage Linen Market collection from Simple Stories.
If you would like to come along, you'd be very welcome - tea and coffee is on tap, and there are delicious homemade cakes, punches and dies to use, and of course, a discount on anything you buy!
Lynn here today, and summer is here at last! The July Papermaze kit
is ready to purchase and is full of summery, colourful papers, card and
embellishments. As always there is an additional pack of carefully matched Bazzill cardstock available to purchase. Here are the first two of four layouts created with this lovely kit.
Hi everyone, it's Rebecca with you today sharing my second layout created with the gorgeous Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers collection from Simple Stories. I always adore the Simple Vintage collections, and this one is no exception. You can find the full collection in the shop here.
To start, I cut a section of the Dream on, Dreamer patterned paper, tore the bottom and distressed all the edges to add some texture. To the centre of this, I added my photo, raised up on foam and with a large frame behind it which I'd selected from the Ephemera packet.
Either side of my photo I adhered some ticket stubbs, some from the Ephemera pack, and one from the Sticker Book. I raised the tops of these up with foam to introduce some dimension to the page. To build on these clusters, I added a sprig of lavender from the Chipboard Stickers and a floral die cut from the Floral Bits & Pieces. To help extend the right hand cluster higher, I layered in some florals from the Sentiment Bits & Pieces.
For my title, I wanted something bold and dramatic, so I selected the word 'beautiful' from the Chipboard Stickers, and positioned it just under my photo.
Flicking through the Sticker Book, I noticed a horizontal branch of dangling purple flowers and the colours matched my layout so perfectly that I just had to use it! I added it above my photo extending to the left just like my title.
Underneath my title I had an empty area of patterned paper that was really bugging me and so I positioned two stickers from the Cardstock Stickers on foam pads there to fill the gap.
To finish off the layout, I added a couple of butterfly die cuts from the Floral Bits & Pieces and some Glitter Enamel Dots.
Thanks so much for reading, I hope you've enjoyed this layout.
Take care

Hello, and welcome back to the Papermaze blog!
Claire here today, and I have another beachy layout to share with you today, but this one has a beautiful nautical theme, made with the new Summer Porch collection from 49 and Market.
I began with a piece of Premium White Cardstock and cut a circle, roughly 9" using the cream/buff coloured cardstock from the Solids Collection Pack. I distressed the edges and stuck it flat to the page.
On top of that, I lay two vertical strips of patterned paper - Daydream (red) and Take Flight (a blue paper with a fabulous seagull pattern).
To create extra texture, I spritzed each piece with water to make it more pliable, softening the fibres to ruffle the paper slightly more than usual. I love how tactile this makes the page and the extra depth it creates.
I positioned my photos down the centre, with each one mounted on tissue paper to give that extra bit of separation.
Using the By the Sea Laser Cut Elements, I trimmed some net and tucked it on either side of the papers, saving the large middle section of the net for another layout.
The rowing boat and lighthouse form the basis of a large cluster, complemented by two circular ephemera pieces from the Ephemera Bits, finished with a laser cut bow and seagull.
Across the centre of the layout, I added a laser cut rope - the detail and shading on this is really lovely, and it adds real interest to the page.
I used the rope to anchor my 'Snapshots' title, adding a red subtitle both from the Chipboard Word Set, along with a small anchor and seagull from the By the Sea Laser Cuts.
Under each cluster I added some Essential Rub-on Transfers and some red starfish from the Chipboard Word Set.
As a finishing touch, I added a few sentiments to the photos (one top left and the other bottom right) from the Laser Cuts and Ephemera Bits.
Love how this layout came together, and look forward to sharing more with you next month.
Claire xx
