Scrapbook Layout - 'You are my Universe' using Kaisercraft Oh Happy Day Collection

Hello, Rebecca back with you today with another 12x12 layout created using the beautiful Oh Happy Day Collection by Kaisercraft.

For this layout I really wanted to keep it simple and showcase the absolutely stunning Star Light patterned paper. I knew if I didn't use this paper quick, it would get hoarded in the 'too beautiful to use' pile!

My problem with this paper, was that I LOVED both sides, but only had one sheet! I knew I wanted to use both sides somehow so decided to fold the top corner over so that the underside was showing. I then used a co-ordinating sheet of Bazzill Cardstock behind the patterned paper to fill the space at the top. I added some silver Texture Paste through the Adventure Awaits Night Sky Stencil by Echo Park so that the top corner didn't look so bare.

I could go on and on about how beautiful this paper is! The darker side is covered with blue foiled stars which catch the light and really stand out.

I didn't want to over-embellish this layout, but I felt like my photos weren't popping off the page enough, so I mounted them onto textured bazzill cardstock and a sheet of dark blue patterened paper. I had a piece of ephemera from an old collection that I cut in half and added behind the edges of my photos so it was just peeking out and I then placed some deco web fabric from my stash behind that to add a little more texture.

I have a sheet of the beautiful Butterfly Printed Velum from Vicki Boutin's Wildflower & Honey Collection which has been sat on the aforementioned 'too beautiful to use' pile... and I decided it was time to be brave and cut into it. So I fussy cut some of the blue butterflies as they also have foil on them which I felt really complemented the Star Light patterned paper. I also added one of the Layered Butterfly Stickers from the same collection.

I finished off my layout by adding my title 'You are my Universe', made up op several different thickers. This is probably one of my most simple layouts, but I really do think it makes this patterned paper sing. And it's such a lovely paper that it can be used for so much more than just birthday layouts!

I hope you've enjoyed this layout, I'll be back next week with another layout using the Oh Happy Day Collection.

Take care,

Rebecca x

According to Stanford Medical, It's indeed the ONLY reason this country's women get to live 10 years more and weigh 42 pounds less than us.

(And really, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret exercise and absolutely EVERYTHING around "how" they are eating.)

BTW, What I said is "HOW", not "WHAT"...
