49 and Market - Summer Porch - Summer

Hi there

Welcome back to the Papermaze blog! It's Claire here today sharing a layout made with the Summer Porch collection from 49 and Market

I was immediately drawn to the Charted Voyage paper - the B side is a lovely woodgrain like you see on a boardwalk. I love a woodgrain pattern so used this as my base.

To this, I added a large rub on from the Blendable Rub-Ons Pack, cut in half to make it stretch across the page.

My photo sits in the middle, layered on some large pieces of ephemera from the Ephemera Bits pack

This includes the large blue and white striped base layer, striped frame and neutral frames.

Next, I reached for the Laser Cut Out Elements - I absolutely love the Laser Cuts from 49 and Market - you only need a few to really elevate your page.

Here, I've layered a doily piece under my photo, and have used two of those beautiful sail boats on either side of my photo. To add texture, I also used that fabulous netting which also comes from the laser cuts to give the impression the new stretches underneath my photo.

To create a cluster for my title, I used a Life Buoy Ring from the Laser Cuts along with a red rope, positioned along the bottom edge of my photo, leaving the perfect spot for my Chipboard title to sit.

Along the top of my photo, I created a vert small cluster, using a Set Sail tab and leaf from the Laser Cut out Elements along with a small sub title from the Ephemera Bits.

I couldn't finish such a nautical page with out a few seagulls! Using a combination of Laser Cut Outs and Rub-Ons, I added seagulls around the page - bringing this layout to the end.

I love how this turned out. It felt like an adventure creating it - I thoroughly enjoyed sifting through all the different elements and just love the different textures that the paper, laser cuts and rub-ons bring.

I hope it's inspired you to get creative. You can check out the collection in full here, but don't wait too long - this collection is proving popular!

See you next month!
