Hello everybody! It's Meg here today, sharing my latest layout using the beautiful summery Simple Stories Sunkissed collection.
I
thought about using the layered tags I had created in my last blog but I just loved the
blue spotty Fun + Sun paper and wanted to put a title on it. I wasn't sure if I would
hand-stitch the letters on, use alphas or stamps, but it was a starting
point!
I
decided to cut out a rectangle of the Fun + Sun paper the same size as my main photo
and create a pocket behind the photo from white cardstock so that I could tuck
a tag (cut out from the Tags paper) in there with hidden journaling and extra photos.
I fussy-cut some flower clusters from the Sunny Days paper, decided to hand-stitch a border onto the Fun + Sun paper and use dark blue alphas from my stash to create the 'Lliber' title. The top of the page seemed a little plain still so I hand-stitched some curvy swirls in white, which gave extra texture and detail while still remaining subtle and not competing with the bright colours.
I began adhering and finished the page with some coordinating Heart Sprinkles puffy stickers from Doodlebug, some white Nuvo Drops, flat back gems from my stash and tucked in my journaling tag and extra photos.
And there we have it!
Take care and have lots of fun in the sun, Meg x
