Next, I took some papers from the 6x8 Add-on Paper Pad and cut out chevron shapes. I stuck these onto the layout and, to add extra texture, I machine stitched over them with white thread.
To complete the background, I added some splatters of green paint. Then, after slightly trimming the 12x12 sheet, I attached it to a sheet of brown cardstock, leaving a narrow border around the edge.
Next, I matted my 3.5" x 5" photo onto some woodgrain paper from the collection. I positioned it slightly off-center on the layout, adding a bit of dimension by tucking some pizza box card underneath to raise it up.
More card was placed underneath the die cuts to raise them up too.
Other dies cuts were also used elsewhere on the layout as well as some of the phrase stickers from the Sticker Sheet.
Finally, as I often do, I finished the layout with a scattering of sequins (I used sequins from the Woodlands mix from Picket Fence Studios) and also machine stitched around the outside edge of the entire layout to complete it.
