Carta Bella ~ Bon Voyage 💦

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back on the blog today. I managed to squeeze one more layout out of my Carta Bella Bon Voyage supplies, so I’m sharing this with you today before I move onto a new collection… 

Cutfiles are a great way of using up scrap bits of patterned paper and cardstock, so I decided to use this ‘cool in the pool’ Cut Shoppe cutfile on this layout. I set it to cut quite large, so it would take up most of the page and allow me space to fill some of the letters with photos. 

To create this layout, I also used some supplies from the Endless Summer collection by Echo Park. You can find this in the shop here. 

I backed the ‘C’ ‘L’ ‘P’ and ‘L’ with the b side of Buoy Bash the water/waves design was perfect for a pool themed layout. 

I added my photos to the two O’s and backed the beach ball and rubber ring elements with my leftover cardstock from the Bon Voyage matchmaker pack. 

I added some clusters of embellishments around the letters, which came from the Bon Voyage Element Stickers, the Endless Summer Element Stickers and some fussy cut flowers from ‘Sunny Stems’

Carta Bella ~ Bon Voyage ☀️

Hello, it’s Anna back with you today, and I’m sharing a second layout using Carta Bella’s Bon Voyage collection, you can find the whole collection in the shop here.

This collection is brilliant for any cruise holidays or alternatively there are non cruise related patterns on the ‘b’ sides of the papers, which would work well for bright summery pages too. 

Here is my second layout: 

I used a sheet of smooth white 12x12 bazzill cardstock as my base, I then used some distress ink in the shade Tumbled Glass to create some pale water colour on my background mimicking the water in the jacuzzi in my photographs. 

I used the packaging technique to achieve this, using a mini mister to water down the ink. 

I then cut four squares of cardstock in coordinating colours from the matchmaker pack. I arranged these in a four by four grid. I wanted to create more depth and interest to the squares, so I double mounted my two photos, again with coordinating cardstock. With the second two squares, I added some extra details, using strips of cardstock/patterned paper as well a boarder sticker and image stickers. I added ‘the Caribbean’ from the multi journaling cards. 

I felt that the rest of the layout needed a little something else, and it looked a little bare around the edges. So I tore a piece of my white cardstock from both top and bottom, backing the spaces with the ‘b’ side of Buoy Bash and adding stickers and some enamel dots for extra detail.

Carta Bella ~ Bon Voyage 🛳️

I’ve travelled back in time to scrapbook some photos of a family holiday when I was in my teens. 

These papers were perfect for getting these photos scrapped. 

I used the b side of Locale Luggage as my base and began by tearing a strip of Buoy Bash which I adhered to the left side of the layout. 

I had four photos that were quite similar to use, so I wanted to scrap them all together on one page. Sometimes when you’re scrapbooking a holiday and you want to keep it together in one album, it’s nice to do some multi photo pages to condense pages down. I also like to use pocket pages to allow for extra photos. 

I cut my four circles in various sizes and and mounted them with coordinating cardstock as well as the b side of cocktail hour.

I also cut out some more circles from cardstock and the b side of ‘Tags for Travel’

After arranging them on my layout, I added a title and embellishments using the element stickers. 

I finished the layout off by adding some enamel dots and words from Vicki Boutin Print Shop Thickers.
