Simple Stories - Winter Cottage -Thankful for You

 Hi everyone!

So brace yourselves....! It's nearing the end of November and I've jumped right into Christmas mode! I'm full of hope, excitement and of course, a little sparkle.

Today, I'm using the gorgeous Winter Cottage collection from Simple Stories.  Whereas last time I focused on those beautiful pink and green tones, today I'm throwing myself into the traditional red, green and gold colours which hold a special place in my heart.

I started my layout with some Premium White Cardstock which I offset and mounted on to a sheet of green Bazzill from the Matchmaker Pack

I put some Cosmic Shimmer sparkle texture paste through the Carta Bella Let It Snow stencil which I picked up in the Big Autumn Sale.  Unfortunately, it's sold out now but there's one specially made by Simple Stories as part of this collection which you can find here.

I used this beautiful festive frame from the Layered Chipboard Frames which was the perfect base for two photos, and mounted it onto a piece of Season of Wonder paper, distressing the edges for texture.

The frames are larger than I imagined and are beautifully embellished which makes for a real eye catching element on your page.

Next, I fussy cut the stockings from the 4x6 elements paper and the gifts from the 4x4 elements paper. I placed a small tag from the Journal Bits & Pieces and small holly sticker on the other side of the photo for balance.

At the top of the photo, I added a tag from the Tag paper and added a heart sticker from the Sticker Sheet.

Now, it can't be a proper Christmas layout without a bit of sparkle, right?! So, out came the sequin ribbon from my stash which I ran along the edge of the white card and I added the 'Thankful for You' title from Pebbles 2nd Avenue Puffy Stickers.

As you can probably tell, I LOVE Christmas and revert to a 5 year old around this time of year so I'm really excited to share more festive layouts next month!

Until then, stay safe and take care
