American Crafts ~ Rainbow Avenue 🌈

Hello! It’s Anna here sharing my final layout using American Crafts Rainbow Avenue.

You can find the collection in the shop here

I’ve picked out lots of the bright colours in this collection for this layout.
I used a white bazzill cardstock background and then picked up ‘My Rainbow’ which I trimmed into strips and then weaved together on the top left hand side of the layout.
I tore the edges, making them different lengths.

I then selected my photos, I wanted to try and squeeze on three to document my birthday, so I used different size pictures to accommodate this. I mounted the photos with ‘Pink Dreams’.

To fit in with my birthday themed layout, I have also used  ‘Birthday Sparkle’ element stickers by Photoplay. I added the ‘celebrate’ sticker to serve as my title and a few of the words and a candle to tie in with the birthday theme.

I cut out one of the cut apart pieces from ‘Dreamy Day’ to use as a journalling box. I also used some of the ‘cardstock stickers’ including some florals, hearts and stars.

Thanks so much for looking! See you later in the month where I’ll be working with Simple Stories Say Cheese Magic

Happy Birthday with Disney Inspired Collections by ScrappyAdam

Happy Saturday!

Adam, aka ScrappyAdam here with a new Disney layout using a combination of Echo Park and Simple Stories Disney inspired collections. Anyone that has followed me over on Instagram or Facebook will know I love scrapping Disney - both with and without Disney inspired collections and I have a lot of both Echo Park and Simple Stories from Papermaze left so I decided to combine them for some layouts and, hopefully, something a bit different too!

One thing I will say, bear in mind that Simple Stories tend to use a cream base for their Say Cheese collections whereas Echo Park tend to use a white base. I personally don't mind this mix but I know some scrappers won't be keen!

I started with a full sheet of the Balloons paper from Echo Park's 'A Magical Place' using the black star reverse side for a 1/2" border around the page with the 4x4 Elements from Simple Stories' Say Cheese Main Street on top. I decided to use the reverse of one of my favourite papers from A Magical Place; Strike a Pose (those cameras!!) as a base for my photo and embellishments on the page.

I love that Echo Park now have two 6x6 pads - their usual one and then a 'mega' pad! This is the same but has 6x6 solids and three of each design. Of course, I got the mega pad - and it's brilliant and Papermaze are stocking it! I used some papers from this pad as well as Say Cheese scraps to layer up around and to the bottom of the photo. I matted my photo once and then decided to add two further mats and tore the bottom to add a bit of extra texture.

It was then a case of embellishing which I love! I do love layering lots of paper and using patterned paper background but embellishments are so much fun!

I had lots to choose from but kept it relatively simple - for me anyway!

I used embellishments from both collections including some chipboard, stickers and ephemera and enamel dots. I also added some fab Bramble Fox perspextives - those Mickey heads are so cute! I love the Echo Park chipboard - so crisp and white background!

I'm loving mixing these two collections and will be back with some more fun scrapping with it very soon! I'm hoping to use this Disney mash up kit to make a little album which I hope to share with you all soon!

In the meantime, pop to the blog and check out the amazing inspiration from the Papermaze Design Team - there is so much scrappy goodness right here on the blog! Take care, stay safe and I will see you all soon!

Echo Park ~ Magical Birthday Boy #1

Hi all and Happy Friday!
It’s Anna back with you and this month I’m working with a new collection - Echo Park Magical Birthday boy. You can find the whole collection in the shop here. This collection was released alongside a ‘sister’ collection in Magical Birthday Girl and you can find this collection in the shop too here. Both collections are Disney and birthday themed, but don’t be put off by the Disney theme as they’d work really well for non Disney birthdays too or indeed just Disney pages. I have created 4 layouts to share with you over the next few weeks and I hope that you’ll find that I have really tried to vary my pages that I have made with this collection.
For my first layout, it is a Disney birthday! Several  years back, I celebrated my birthday at Disneyland Paris, so this page documents this...

I began by gutting the Make a Wish paper and trimming some bazzill cardstock down by about a centimetre each side. I gave the cardstock some texture by distressing the edges.
I then used my silhouette cameo to cut out a Paige Evans balloons cutfile, but rather than use the cutfile on the layout, I used it as a template to create sewing holes, I then sew the balloons in coordinating coloured thread.

I wanted to include a second photo which was a card that my parents gave me, it was significant to my Disney birthday because they brought it in France and it has French wording. However it didn’t really fit it with the colours on my layout, so I made an interactive element, covering it with a ‘lift the flap’. I created this using one of the wording shapes from the Birthday Fun paper.

I used a few of the element stickers around my layout and also fussy cut some of the clouds from the B side of the Tags paper.

I cut out three of the journaling tags from the Tags patterned paper, and made them into a little mini book to tell the story.

To finish, I added some Nuvo drops along the side of my photograph and in clusters around the page.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a great weekend!
