Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand & Sea - Ahoy There!

Lynn back today with the last of my Papermaze DT layouts using The Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand and Sea collection. For this one I used more of the red, white and blue elements from the collection.  The photos show my granddaughter playing in the boat at the local playground.

I started this page with a 12" x 12" sheet of scrap paper, over which I built up my background. The top half of the page is a 6" x 12" piece of Shore is Fun (blue & white dot) paper. Then under this, I placed a 4.5" x 12" (blue & white stripe) Combo Elements paper. The third paper at the bottom is a 1" x 12" piece of Tides and Treasures (wood panel).

I selected two 12" long stickers from the Element Stickers Icon sheet, and placed these where the two papers join at the base of the layout. Over the red & white dot sticker I applied some P13 alphabet stickers for the date.

I used red Bazzill cardstock to mount the photos, then applied them at angles to the left of centre of the layout. Between the photos and to the left I added a piece cut from the elements side of the
Combo Elements paper. I trimmed off the flowers, keeping the red & white dot frame and journalling area. I wrote some details here, and added some phrase stickers from the Cardstock Stickers Icons sheet

For the bottom right of the photo, I took a bow journalling spot from the Journaling Bits pack, and the 'waves for days' sticker from the
Cardstock Stickers Icons sheet. I wound some red and white Baker's twine around the phrase.  I cut the barcode strip from the Combo Elements paper, and cut the striped area into two pieces, I placed this over the join in papers, either side of the photo.

To the left of the photo, I added three tags from the
Journalling Bits pack, adding more twine to the holes, these we attached with 3D foam pads.

I added a knotted piece of twine to the top left corner of the layout. For the title I cut letters from red and white cardstock, using the Tim Holtz - Sizzix - Alphanumerics Varsity die set.

That's all for today, thanks for looking

Bella Blvd ~ Adventure Awaits #2 🍃

 Hello everyone!

It’s Anna back with you today. I’m back to share my second layout this month using Bella Blvd Adventure Awaits.

You can find the collection in the shop here

To create this layout I used a sheet of white cardstock as my base.

I used my silhouette cameo to cut out a cutfile (it was a free one from the Pinkfresh studio Facebook group) using the b side of ‘mini meadow’.

I backed the three squares of the cutfile using ‘muddy trail’ and then mounted my photos in coordinating bazzill cardstock and adhered one photo to each square.

Before adhering the cutfile to the cardstock, I tore a strip of ‘Wander Clouds’ and placed it to the left side of my layout, followed by a boarder sticker from the doohickey Cardstock stickers, layered on top.

I added my title and then added some doohickey cardstock stickers to embellish around the cutfile.

To finish off my layout I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch using some of my scraps of patterned paper to punch out some butterflies. I added enamel dots to the centres and dotted them around the layout.

Thanks so much for looking!

See you next month with a brand new collection.

Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand & Sea - Dunwich

Something a little different from me for August, because Papermaze is taking a break from the usual monthly kit.  I have chosen to create my design team layouts with products from The Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Sand and Sea collection.

On Wednesday 29th July 2026, we spent a leisurely morning on the beach at Dunwich on the east coast. Little did we know that the surrounding heathland would catch fire later the same day.

A statement by the National Trust:
“On 29 July, a wildfire started, which later spread onto Dunwich Heath and the entire landscape was engulfed in flames. A place loved for its sweeping purple heather and rare wildlife has been left scarred almost beyond recognition.

The devastation is heart breaking.

Precious habitat is damaged and vulnerable; an area estimated to be the size of 210 football pitches has been affected. As one of the UK's most important coastal heathland landscapes, it is home to nightjars, Dartford warblers, adders, common lizards and rare heathland insects.”

I started by cutting the barcode strip from the Beach Life paper. Then I laid a 2" band of burlap across the middle of the layout.

From the Tag Elements paper, I selected four tags and cut them out. I chose tags in natural colours to complement the background paper. The tags were inked with Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I punched a hole in the top of each tag, applied an eyelet and arranged them across the layout, with the plain sides up. I attached the tags with 3D Foam pads. I threaded some thick Jute twine through the tags, catching it down with some wet glue in placed between the tags.

I trimmed three small photos and placed them evenly and ventrally across the tags, leaving a gap at each end. The gap on the right was filled with journalling. On the right I added an element from the Cardstock Sticker - Icons sheet.

I trimmed the phrase 'Salty Kisses + sandy Toes' from another tag on the Tag Elements sheet. These were inked and attached with more 3D pads to the bottom right of the layout. I attached a seahorse charm under the last word.

I cut a title and a shadow using the Cricut, I used Seaside Smiles paper for the top layer, and Great Escape paper for the shadow layer.

The 'Enjoy the moment' sentiment across the top of the photos is from the Journal Bits pack.

That's all for today, I'll be back with more from this collection soon,
Thanks for looking

Bella Blvd ~ Adventure Awaits 🌼

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Papermaze blog!

For August, I am going to be working with Adventure Awaits by Bella Blvd. It is an outdoorsy collection, perfect for all of your summer adventures! You can find it in the shop here!

To create my first layout I began with using the b side of ‘Treescape’ as my base.

I printed out a selection of square photos from a recent walk I’d been on. I placed the pictures out on the patterned paper and then cut out identically sized squares using coordinating green bazzill cardstock to fill the gaps. After printing 9 pictures, I needed 7 more squares to fill in the spaces to make a 4x4 grid.

I adhered all of the squares and pictures down to create my grid. I then began to add some extra interest to each of the green squares. I layered some patterned paper on each square, using the b side of ‘mini meadow’, ‘midnight fireflies’ and ‘Wander Clouds’.

I used the ‘Doohickey Cardstock Stickers’ to further embellish each square. I created a little sunshine for the top left square by punching out a circle from ‘Midnight Fireflies’ and cutting some very small strips to make the rays. For several of the stickers placements, I trimmed down an edge to fit it into the square, rather than placing it exactly in the centre. I added a title to one of the squares too and  journalling box to another and that was the layout complete!

Thanks so much for looking!

See you later in the month with a second layout using this collection!

Simple Stories - Open Road - Explore

Hello!

Claire here, and I'm back with another layout documenting my adventures with the Open Road collection from Simple Stories.

This time, rather than focusing on Road trip photos, I've opted to document the outdoors.

I just love the colours and patterns in this collection so set about creating mountains from patterned papers. I used Journal Elements, You Are Here and Roadside Memories for thr two smaller pink mounting that are slightly hidden behind my photos.

To anchor the page, and add more colour, i really wanted to incorporate the map patterned paper called On Our Way! It seemed very fitting for an outdoor page and conveys the 'explore' theme of the layout.

I mounted my photos with the Adventure Awaits paper, offsetting them across the mountain scape.

To help balance the page, I added a tag under one photo to stretch the design out to the right, which i cut from the Tag paper.

Next, I went to the Cardstock Stickers Icons, adding trees, mountains, geotags and clouds to help bring the page to life. I also used the Edplore sticker for my title.

From the Floral Bits & Pieces, i chose a few leaves and flowers and clustered these on either side of my photos.

As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo drops to the top of the mountains to mimic snow.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today. You can check out the Open Road collection in the shop here.

Happy scrapping!

Simple Stories ~ Sweet Summertime #2

Hi everyone and welcome back to the Papermaze blog.
Today I'm sharing my second layout using Simple Stories, Sweet Summertime - which you can find in the shop here

To create this layout I began with a sheet of white bazzill cardstock.
I then cut out a circle from the b side of  Backyard Memories and adhered it to the centre of the cardstock, leaving a gap around the edge so I could tuck in the florals.
I fussy cut lots of flowers from Backyard Memories and began tucking them around the edge of the circle. It didn't matter if they weren't full flower shapes as just half was showing. So it's a good opportunity to use flowers from the edges of the patterned paper.

I then printed my three photos and positioned them in the circle. I used an alphabet medal die to cut out the letters for my title on white cardstock.

I then added some stickers from the cardstock stickers around the layout including some more florals!

A simple layout that came together quite quickly! But hopefully quite effective and easily replicated.

Thanks so much for looking!

See you again next month.

Simple Stories ~ Sweet Summertime ☀️ #1

Hi everyone,
It's Anna here and today I'm sharing my first layout using Simple Stories Sweet Summertime.
You can find the collection in the shop here

For my first layout this month I decided to create a grid style page using paper windmills. As soon as I saw ‘summer fun’ the paper inspired me to create this layout.
I cut out each of the squares and I made paper windmills using 10 of the squares.
To make paper windmills you begin with a square of paper, then draw a cross. You then cut about halfway along each pencil line and then fold each corner into the middle. I then like to secure with enamel dots in the centre.

I adhered the windmills onto my white bazzill cardstock and left some gaps to place my photos.

I then added some of the cardstock stickers icons dotted around the page. I tucked them in where I had some gaps around the photos and windmills.

Thanks so much for looking!
See you later in the month for another layout using this collection!

Pinkfresh Studio - Paige Evans - Crafted Moments

Hi everyone, it’s Anna back on the blog today and I’m sharing my third and final layout using Pinkfresh Studio’s latest collaboration with Paige Evans - Crafted Moments.

You can find the whole collection in the shop here

As per my previous two layouts, I have used the following supplies:

12x12 Paper Pad

Cardstock Stickers

Floral Ephemera

Mini Puffy Alphabet

To create this layout I began with a sheet of white bazzill cardstock.

I then created a frame using ‘Inner Glow’ from the 12x12 paper pad. I trimmed my 12x12 sheet of patterned paper down by around an inch on each side and then cut out the middle section too, leaving a frame about 2 1/2 inches wide. I distressed the edges and set the frame aside.

I used some distress oxide watered down and flicked onto the background using a paintbrush. Once the oxide was dry, I adhered the frame to the cardstock.

I mounted my three photos onto a piece of patterned paper from the collection and placed them to the bottom left side of the frame. I used the Floral Ephemera florals to tuck around the inside of the frame.
I also added a butterfly from the same pack and positioned it in the white space inside the frame. I added a trail for the butterfly by using an acid free writing pen.

I punched out two more butterflies using an old Martha Stewart punch and some pieces of leftover paper from the collection. I added Nuvo Drops to the centres of these butterflies and adhered them to the left of the large butterfly.

To finish, I added a few stickers from the cardstock stickers including my journalling box and my title using the Mini Puffy Alphabet Stickers.

Thanks so much for looking!
See you in July when I’ll be sharing a couple of layouts using Simple Stories Sweet Summertime

Pinkfresh Studio ~ Crafted Moments by Paige Evans ☀️

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Papermaze blog!

Today I will be sharing my second layout using Pinkfresh Studio’s latest collaboration with Paige Evans - Crafted Moments.

You can find the collection in the shop here

I began with a sheet of pale pink bazzill as my base.

I then cut out a selection of hexagons from 'Crafted Moments' which is in the 12x12 paper pad.

I fussy cut a couple of suns from ‘Made of Sunlight’ which is in the 12x12 pad. After mounting my photographs I began positioning everything on my layout. I adhered the hexagons in a pattern across the page, added my photographs and placed the suns in position too.

I added some stickers around my layout including a journaling box which were from the Cardstock Stickers.

I added a title to the bottom right hand side of the layout which balanced the page out.

Thanks so much for looking! See you soon with another layout using this collection soon.
