The Happiest Place & DIY Cute Paper Clips

Hiya,

Lisa here playing with my new travel journal and the cute collection from Simple Stories - Say Cheese - Happiest Place, which you can see here.

I do also have a YouTube video making this spread which you can see here.

This is the paper that inspired this journal spread.

I had a lot of photos from our Disneyland California trip but I didn't want to overload the page with photos, so I created lots of flips. Lots of places to hide them.

This is when the DIY clips also came in as I needed them to hold things down in place LOL
I had a lot going on.
The clips are so fun. I have 2 on this page.
And I added one to this tag too.
Just using paperclips and a hot glue gun to attach fun things to make the clip.

Here I have a flair button, I also used a button and a fabric embellishment.

These tags are so handy. I've used them a lot for hidden journaling and photos.

The top piece then flips up and there's lots of photos underneath.

And more underneath.

I love all the bits and pieces.

I used these pieces a lot which were so handy.
I created this flip with the Mickey piece.

And then on the other side.

Another flip at the bottom.
You can see more of the clips that I made too here.
4 more : )

And I've used lots of these matching stickers too.

They really make the page.
I love adding extra colours and details.

I hot glued a piece of ribbon to create a bellyband and this held in more photos and journaling.

There is a lot going on here, but I love a busy full journal with lots of colour, so I love it : )

I hope this has inspired you today.
Have fun

Don't Forget To Use These

 Hi, Lisa here,

Today we are using our beloved craft punches.

Do you forget to use yours too?

Do you have a good stash of them?

Today is your prompt to use them again : )

I've used 3 different border punches here to make this cute pocket.

I was inspired by this cute journal card that I cut from this 12x12 sheet.

It's from a really cute collection by Echo Park called Mouse and Me.

Take a look here.

These pockets are such a fun way to add photos.

I do have a video here if you'd like to see this page being created.

And I've used the Element Stickers from this sheet to embellish.

Look how cute!!

I love how this journal spread turned out.

It's been so much fun using my punches again.

If you are feeling tempted by a border punch, there's a good selection in the shop here.

The EKSucess punches are my favourite.
They always punch so well and they flat pack too.

I highly recommend.

Have fun with your punches.

Combining Scrapbooking & Journaling

Hi, Lisa here today.
I'm talking about journaling scrapbooking style today.
I was a scrapbooker for years before I started journaling.
And years later, although I don't create 12x12 style now,  would say that quite often my journaling is heavily inspired by my scrapbooking.

Today I'm creating in my weekly journal.
It's this paper here that has inspired this LO today from Pretty Little Studio.

And I'll add the link to the video here if you'd like to see me creating this page on my YouTube channel.

I wanted to make like a patchwork effect as a background.

But I wanted it to look rustic. So instead of cutting the paper, I tore down with a ruler.

I love this effect so much.

I love how this looks. Sticking each square down individually with the rough edges.

Taking the, 'sunshine makes me happy'.

And I've continued over on the other side with the same design and this time adding some of the Echo park Element stickers.

This page is so simple but looks so effective.
The perfect Springtime LO.

I hope this has inspired you today.
Have fun with your Spring LO's.

Using Up Your Scraps

 Hi!!   It's Lisa here.

I'm here today to encourage you to create and make the most out of your lovely stash.

I have some great tips for you today.

I do have a video here if you'd like to see the layout come together.

This is one of my favourite ways to create.

I love going through my stash and piecing together a little mood board.

It's like making a jigsaw with your scraps and bits and pieces.

Laying everything out like this you can really see what works together.

I love doing this so much.

And I end up with something like this.

It works really well if you are working with a colour combination and also a good way to see that you have all the elements, title, wording, papers, somewhere to add journaling etc...

Then you use it all to create the page.

This yellow heart paper here really caught my eye. Isn't it stunning?!

And I had lots of Rosie's Studio pieces like this here that I added.

I love the pinks and blues.

These are stickers from Echo Park here.

I also used some bits and pieces from Pretty Little Studio here

I also really enjoy the 'Cut Aparts' from Pretty Little Studio here.

You cut them up so they work out better on the budget compared to stickers.

And I quite often I will use the wording from the branding as it goes so well.

That's what I've done with this one here.

You can also get really creative. I took this paper from Simple Stories here.

Don't let the Christmas theme put you off, you can cut around and create your own pieces.

Like I have done here I love this little addition.
I cut the word strips out from the card too.

It's such a fun way to create, piecing so many different things from different collections together.

I hope this has inspired you today.

I encourage you to play and bring lots of bits and pieces together on your pages too.

Have fun!

How to Add Lots of Photos & Still Look Cute!

Do you love adding lots of photos too?

Do you struggle to choose which ones to add?

But you don't want to crowd a layout either.

You still want it to look pretty.

That's what I'm doing today.

I do have a video if you'd like to watch this come together here.

I have been inspired today by lots of cuteness from Pretty Little Studio which you can see here.

The colours inspire me so much. And aren't these frames the cutest?!

I added lots of flips here to hide the photos underneath.

And I've added strips of some of the bright papers and more frames and die cuts.

It's all so cute!
You could never tell that there's 16 photos on this spread!

I was so inspired by the frames that I made one myself here large enough to frame these 2 photos.

And this also flips.

I'm so happy with how this spread turned out.

So many stories and so many photos and let it still looks pretty!!

I hope this inspires you today.

Have a great day.

Trying Something Different Today

Hello!!

I was so inspired this week and I'm excited to share with you.

It all started off by this one paper.

It's from Pretty Little Studio and it's the Love is Kind collection which you can see here.

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to use it first, but I knew I NEEDED it LOL.

You know that feeling right?!

As it was, I decided to do something different to what I'd imagined.

And this is it.

I had loads of photos of Disney snacks.

I don't like just adding lots of photos to a page, I like to see a page and have a design, so I decided to cut out the banners and try out this idea instead.

I've layered up the banners using clear tape.

The kraft paper that I've journaled on, the RR sticker and the sting bow at the top were all on the packaging of the donut in the photo : )

Then on the other side I added 4 of the banners.

And each banner then flips up.

It's a great way to add lots of photos and journaling and keeping the page so tidy looking.

I also wanted to share the cute ephemera that I've used here.

I've decorated this page using some pieces but look how much is still left over.

And if you are wondering about this cute little container, it had our banana loaf in that we had in Disney. So cute : )

Theres so many cute pieces in this collection.

Take a look at everything here

I love it all so much.

If you'd like to see the page coming together, I have a video here.

I hope this has inspired you.

Happy Scrapping.

love
