Pebbles Patio Party from Jen Hadfield - Birthday Layout

Hello Karen here with my first project using Pebbles 'Patio Party' collection by Jen Hadfield. This collection is bright and colourful with lots of florals and stripes and the odd flamingo thrown in for good measure! The collection would be ideal for all sorts of scrapbook layouts or cards and would be especially good  for scrapping summer photos, party photos or, as in the layout I'm sharing with you today, birthday photos.

Inspiration for this layout was the 'Just for You' paper.

Several of the tags on the paper are birthday themed and I chose to use 4 of the tags to create a banner across the bottom half of my birthday layout.

For the base of the layout I took a sheet of 12" x 12" white Bazzill cardstock and trimmed this to 11" x 11". This was matted onto some black Bazzill cardstock and then onto a sheet of the 'Tablescape' patterned paper. I gutted the patterned paper before sticking down the cardstock, so that I could also use it to mat my large 9" x 6" photo. Using pink thread I machine stitched around the edge of the white cardstock and also round the edges of the tags.

I dug deep into my stash to find some old-school eyelets and used these on the tags. The tags were then strung beneath my photo on pink and white bakers twine. I popped some 3D foam underneath the tags and photo to raise them up a bit.

The tags were embellished with die cuts from the Ephemera pack and with some sequins and stickles.

Using small wooden pegs I attached some of the birthday themed die cuts to the banner and  the number 15 was put onto the cake die cut using pink puffy alpha stickers from Pinkfresh Studio

In the top right corner I added another die cut which I stickled  for added sparkle.

My layout was completed with a scattering of sequins and the date was put at the bottom of the page using Websters Pages The Good Life Little Letters Stickers

I really enjoyed using this collection and will be back next month with another project using these great supplies.

Take Care.
