October Papermaze Kit - Part 2

Hello fellow scrappers, Lynn here today with two new layouts using the October Papermaze Kit.  This time I have picked out the pink papers and embellishments to compliment these photographs of my baby great niece.

Here is a reminder of the kit content:

'Welcome to the World Baby Girl' is my first layout and I have used a photo of Scarlett Rose when she was a tiny new born last November.

I started with the Pebbles - Night Night - Snuggle Time paper, using the pink and white gingham to frame my layout. To achieve this I gutted the paper so I had a 12" x 12" frame of 1" deep all round. Set aside the gutted piece for the next page. Trim the Blossom Bazzill to measure 10.5" x 10.5", then round the corners and ink the edges (Worn Lipstick Distress Ink).

Take the scraps of Authentique - Dame - One paper and with the pink script side up, cut four 0.75" x 10" strips. Use the Bo Bunny - Early Bird - Fanciful paper, remaining from the earlier layouts and cut a 7" circle using the flower side. Ink the strips and the circle and arrange to the right of the layout.

I mounted my photo on a mat cut from Fawn Bazzill, and layered this on top of the circle with some foam tape. My title was cut from scraps of the script side of Bo Bunny - Early Bird - Clocks paper using Skittle Dee Do alphabet Sizzlit Decorative Strip die. This was arranged around the circle.

I made a small cluster of roses from my stash, in the bottom right corner of the photo with the two rosebuds from the kit. I added a few fronds around the roses, I cut these using the Guacamole Bazzill and a Martha Stewart Punch. Finally I added two hearts from the selection of
Shimelle glitter enamel drops and a little detail about the photo.

My second layout is also a photo of Scarlett, this time she is 10 months old and having fun with Daddy's headphones! I used the sewing machine to create borders on the papers to bring in fins black edges.

The base for this layout is a sheet of Walnut Cream Bazzill. All paper edges were inked with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I cut the
Pebbles - Night Night - Snuggle Time paper left over from the previous layout to measure 8" x 8" (dark pink, floral side) and some 2" strips (pale pink and white gingham side). Arrange as shown and the strips can be cut in half if there is not enough to reach beyond the square. Also cut a piece of Bo Bunny - Early Bird - Fanciful (floral side) into a photo mat about 4.5" x 6".

Using the sewing machine and black thread, stitch around the edges of the gingham strips, the dark pink square, the photo mat and the Project Life photo frame. With a photo behind the frame arrange and stick all the pieces in place. Use the Arrow Clip to appear to hold the photo and mat in place, pointing to the focal point of you photo. Use the ribbon from the kit to tie around the base of the photo frame and pop a photo behind the aperture.

With some Making Memories Foam Stamps - Jersey Upper Case Alphabet, stamp the short title using Forest Moss Distress Paint, stamp a short title in the top right corner of the dark pink area. Once dry highlight with a black ink pen.

I used some Jillibean Soup Mini Alpha stickers from a previous kit to add the first part of the title and the date.

With the black & white gingham side of the Changing Leaves paper, cut a rosette with the Sizzlit Thinilts die set and arrange with some swirls cut with the Guacamole Bazzill. I finished the rosette off with a circle from the selection of
Shimelle glitter enamel drops.

When all was stuck in place I added the 10 clear dew drops to the surrounding Walnut Cream Bazzill.

Once again - Thanks for looking.
Back with the new kit for November soon.
